Its products include ilmenite and rutile titanium minerals used as feed stocks to produce titanium dioxide pigment, titanium metal, and welding electrodes; and zircon, a zirconium silicate mineral that is used in ceramics, refractory, and foundry industries, as well as to produce zirconia and zirconium chemicals for various applications. The company is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland.

Kenmare Resources plc announced production results for the second and six months of 2015. For the quarter, the company reported from Moma Mine excavated ore of 8,210,400 tonnes against 8,746,100 tonnes a year ago. HMC was 310,000 tonnes against 317,200 tonnes a year ago. Ilmenite production was 195,100 tonnes against 234,800 tonnes a year ago. Zircon production was 13,400 tonnes against 12,600 tonnes a year ago. Rutile production was 1,400 tonnes against 1,700 tonnes a year ago. Shipments were 202,400 tonnes against 205,100 tonnes a year ago. For the first half of 2015, the company reported from Moma Mine excavated ore of 11,421,400 tonnes against 16,289,100 tonnes a year ago. HMC was 454,500 tonnes against 604,200 tonnes a year ago. Ilmenite production was 324,100 tonnes against 445,600 tonnes a year ago. Zircon production was 23,800 tonnes against 21,400 tonnes a year ago. Rutile production was 2,800 tonnes against 2,800 tonnes a year ago. Shipments were 412,000 tonnes against 399,000 tonnes a year ago.

John Ensall Agrees to Join the Board of Kenmare Resources as Non-Executive Director

Kenmare Resources plc announced that John Ensall has agreed to join the Board of Kenmare as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect. Mr. Ensall is expected to perform the role of the Lender Approved Non-Executive Director for the purposes of the amendment to the Group's financing agreed with its lenders on 29 April 2015 and to chair the Board's Strategic Options Committee. John Ensall has over 20 years' experience in refinancing, transforming and developing businesses across a wide range of sectors. Kenmare Resources plc announced earnings and production results for the year ended December 31, 2014. For the period, the company reported that revenue increased by 8% to USD 74.3 million against USD 165.1 million in 2013, including capitalised revenues of USD 23.6 million and EBITDA of USD 9.4 million against USD 29.0 million in 2013. The company also reported that ore mined in 2014 increased 42% to 34,120,000 tonnes against 23,950,000 tonnes in 2013, heavy mineral concentrate production increased 13% to 1,287,300 tonnes against 1,137,200 tonnes in 2013. Ilmenite production increased 19% to 854,600 tonnes against 720,100 tonnes in 2013, in addition 60,600 tonnes of magnetic concentrate was produced for later processing into ilmenite, to align production with demand Zircon production increased 62% to 50,800 tonnes against 31,400 tonnes in 2013, including primary zircon up 107% to 43,600 tonnes against 21,100 tonnes in 2013. Total shipments of finished products increased 18% to 800,000 tonnes against 677,900 tonnes in 2013.
