JetBlue Airways Announces Management Promotions

JetBlue Airways announced that Mike Elliott has been promoted to the position of Executive Vice President - People, highlighting and elevating the importance of JetBlue's culture to its success. Elliott served as JetBlue's Senior Vice President - People since May 2014 and as Vice President - Crew Relations from 2010-2014. Jeff Martin has been promoted to the position of Executive Vice President - Operations now responsible for Safety, Security, and Training in addition to his existing responsibilities for Flight Operations, System Operations, and Technical /Maintenance Operations. He joined JetBlue in 2012 as Senior Vice President - Operations following a 22-year career at Southwest Airlines. Marty St. George has been promoted to the position of Executive Vice President - Commercial & Planning, responsible for airline & network planning, marketing, sales and revenue. St. George has served as JetBlue's Senior Vice President - Commercial since May 2014. He joined JetBlue in July 2006 and has held several roles including Senior Vice President - Marketing and Commercial Strategy and Vice President - Planning. JetBlue Airways announced new seasonal service from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) to Nantucket, Mass. (ACK). The new non-stop route will launch June 19, 2015, and operate on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through September 6, 2015. Additional flights will be added for the Fourth of July holiday weekend. Flights will be operated on JetBlue's 100-seat Embraer E190. JetBlue's Schedule between Reagan National and Nantucket on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays as of June 19, 2015: ACK - DCA 5:50 p.m. - 7:31 p.m. DCA - ACK 3:40 p.m. - 5:13 p.m.

JetBlue Airways to Launch New Route from New York to Daytona Beach

JetBlue Airways has announced that it will launch a new route from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport to Florida's Daytona Beach International Airport in February 2016. The airline will offer daily service from its home at John F. Kennedy International Airport's (JFK) Terminal 5- providing the Daytona Beach area with its only nonstop service to New York City. Daytona Beach will be JetBlue's eighth in the Sunshine State. The new service to Daytona Beach will create a direct link between JetBlue's main base of operations in New York and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. JetBlue's flights to Daytona Beach will be operated on a 150-seat Airbus A320 - the large aircraft to serve the airport on a regular basis - and will offer the airline's service featuring assigned and comfortable seating; complimentary and unlimited name-brand snacks; more than 100 channels of free SIRIUSXM radio programming and 36 channels of free, live DIRECTV programming on personal seatback televisions; and the most legroom in coach.
