Knesset Utilizes JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd.'s JA PV Modules for its Rooftop Solar Project

JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. announced that the Knesset (Israeli Parliament) has utilized the use of JA PV modules for its rooftop solar project. The Knesset unveiled the 450 KW solar modules installed on its roof at the inauguration of the solar project's operation on March 29th. Occupying 4,650 square meters of roof space, it is by far the solar project completed by any national assembly in the world. 1,500 photovoltaic panels will yield about 10% of the building's electricity needs. This solar project, along with other energy saving measures, is expected to cut down a third of the energy consumption at the Knesset by the end of 2015.

JA Solar Holdings Announces Management and Board Changes

JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. announced that Mr. Yong Liu, Chief Technology Officer, has resigned for personal reasons. Mr. Liu has also relinquished his position on the Board of Directors, effective March 31, 2015. The company appointed its current head of research and development, Dr. Wei Shan, as Chief Technology Officer to replace Mr. Liu. The company also announced the appointment of Mr. Yuhong Fan to the Board of Directors effective March 31, 2015. Dr. Shan has led JA Solar's R&D effort since 2008. He has more than three decades of experience in both academic research and industrial development of a variety of important semiconductor materials and their application to optoelectronic and photovoltaic devices. Mr. Yuhong Fan will fill the vacancy left by Mr. Liu on the Board of Directors. Mr. Fan served as Vice President of JA Solar since July 2011 and General Manager of Solar Silicon Valley, the wafer manufacturing arm of JA, since January 2010. Mr. Fan has over 18 years of experience in the PV industry. Prior to that, he held various managerial positions at Jinglong Group and within JA Solar overseeing multiple facets of the company's manufacturing operations, including wafer production, processing and quality assurance.

JA Solar Holdings Announces its Module Supply Pact for a Major Solar Farm in Guatemala

JA Solar Holdings has made an announcement on its settlement of an agreement for the supply of 35.1MW of modules to the Phase II of a solar project in Guatemala. The company has disclosed that it has secured the contract for the second phase of the Guatemalan project for an additional 35.1MW of modules following its offering of 59.7MW to the Phase I in last year in a successful manner.
