Invacare Corporation designs, manufactures, and distributes medical equipment and supplies used in the home and long-term care settings. It operates through four segments: North America/Home Medical Equipment, Institutional Products Group, Europe, and Asia/Pacific. The company offers mobility and seating products, including power wheelchairs, custom manual wheelchairs, and seating and positioning products; lifestyle products, such as manual wheelchairs, personal care products, homecare beds, pressure relieving mattresses, and patient transport products; and respiratory therapy products comprising non-delivery oxygen, non-delivery respiratory products, and stationary oxygen concentrators. It also provides service offerings, including repair services and replacement parts. In addition, the company manufactures and distributes healthcare furnishings, such as beds, case goods, safe patient handling equipment, and negative pressure wound therapy for the long-term care markets; and other home medical equipment and accessory products. Further, it is involved in the rental of home medical equipment. The company sells its products primarily to home health care and medical equipment providers, distributors, and government locations through its sales force, telesales associates, and independent manufacturers’ representatives and distributors. Invacare Corporation sells its products in 100 countries. The company was founded in 1885 and is headquartered in Elyria, Ohio.

Invacare Corporation reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2014. For the quarter, net sales were $318.199 million against $330.846 million a year ago. Loss from continuing operations before income taxes were $8.385 million against $7.564 million a year ago. Net loss from continuing operations was $6.685 million or $0.21 per basic and diluted share against $16.009 million or $0.50 per basic and diluted share a year ago. Net loss was $9.385 million or $0.29 per diluted share against $5.770 million or $0.18 per diluted share a year ago. LBITDA was $1.251 million against EBITDA of $1.513 million a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA was $8.637 million against $7.689 million a year ago. Adjusted loss before income taxes was $0.707 million against $3.783 million a year ago. Adjusted net loss was $3.882 million or $0.12 per diluted share against $7.083 million or $0.22 per diluted share a year ago.
