Investor AB announced consolidated and parent company earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2015. For the quarter, consolidated net sales were SEK 6,183 million, operating loss was SEK 7,873 million, loss before tax was SEK 8,225 million and loss attributable to owners of the parent company was SEK 8,470 million or SEK 11.13 per diluted share against net sales of SEK 5,210 million, operating profit of SEK 11,026 million, profit before tax of SEK 10,799 million and profit attributable to owners of the parent company of SEK 11,542 million or SEK 15.14 per diluted share for the same period a year ago. For the six months, consolidated net sales were SEK 11,911 million, operating profit was SEK 26,776 million, profit before tax was SEK 26,099 million and profit attributable to owners of the parent company was SEK 25,543 million or SEK 33.45 per diluted share against net sales of SEK 10,093 million, operating profit of SEK 23,834 million, profit before tax of SEK 23,126 million and profit attributable to owners of the parent company of SEK 23,684 million or SEK 31.05 per diluted share for the same period a year ago. Cash flows from operating activities was SEK 6,604 million against SEK 7,305 million a year ago. Acquisitions of property, plant and equipment was SEK 466 million against SEK 511 million a year ago. Net debt totaled SEK 19,975 million on June 30, 2015 against SEK 20,453 million. For the quarter, parent company net sales were SEK 3 million, operating loss was SEK 5,666 million, loss for the period was SEK 5,728 million against net sales of SEK 2 million, operating profit of SEK 9,090 million, profit for the period of SEK 9,242 million for the same period a year ago. For the six months, parent company net sales were SEK 6 million, operating profit was SEK 19,844 million, profit for the period was SEK 19,824 million against net sales of SEK 6 million, operating profit of SEK 18,840 million, profit for the period of SEK 18,850 million for the same period a year ago.

Johan Forssell, Chief Executive Officer of Investor AB (OM:INVE A) said in second quarter earnings call said, "In terms of capital allocation a key priority is to invest through our existing subsidiaries. This could be highly-value creative if we can find attractive acquisition targets that offer true operational synergies, for example, within manufacturing and the distribution networks of our companies."
