It offers microprocessors that processes system data and controls other devices in the system; chipsets, which send data between the microprocessor and input, display, and storage devices, such as keyboard, mouse, monitor, hard drive or solid-state drive, and optical disc drives; system-on-chip products that integrate its central processing units with other system components onto a single chip; and wired network connectivity products. The company also provides mobile communications components, such as baseband processors, radio frequency transceivers, Wi-Fi products, Bluetooth technology, global navigation satellite systems, and power management chips, as well as home gateway and set-top box components. In addition, it offers software products for endpoint security, network and content security, risk and compliance, and consumer and mobile security; NAND flash memory products, which are used in solid-state drives; and custom foundry services, including custom silicon, packaging, and manufacturing test services. The company sells its products primarily to original equipment manufacturers, original design manufacturers, and industrial and communications equipment manufacturers in the computing and communications industries. Intel Corporation was founded in 1968 and is based in Santa Clara, California.

Databricks, Inc. announced plans to collaborate with Intel to optimize Spark real-time analytic capabilities for Intel architecture. Intel Corporation Announces Executive Changes

Intel Corporation announced that its board of directors promoted five corporate officers and elected 4 new corporate vice presidents. Robert B. Crooke, 51, was elevated from corporate vice president to senior vice president. He is general manager of Intel’s Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) Solutions Group. In this role, Crooke leads a worldwide organization responsible for design, development and marketing of Intel non-volatile memory and solid-state drive (SSD) solutions. Crooke joined Intel in 1989, was named a corporate vice president in 2005, and is based in Hillsboro, Oregon. Douglas L. Davis, 53, was promoted from corporate vice president to senior vice president. He is general manager of Intel's Internet of Things (IoT) Group. Davis joined Intel in 1984, was named a corporate vice president in 2010, and is based in Chandler, Arizona. Doug Fisher, 54, was promoted from corporate vice president to senior vice president. He is general manager of Intel's Software and Services Group, and has worldwide responsibility for software that enhances computing and connectivity for Intel architecture and platforms. Fisher joined Intel in 1995, was elected corporate vice president in 2011, and is based in Hillsboro, Oregon. Steven R.
