Innoprise Plantations Bhd Announces Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the First Quarter Ended March 31, 2015

Innoprise Plantations Bhd announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015. For the quarter, the company announced revenue of MYR 20,430,000 compared to MYR 13,855,000 for the same period a year ago. Operating profit was MYR 3,569,000 compared to MYR 2,912,000 for the same period a year ago. Profit before tax was MYR 2,783,000 compared to MYR 2,896,000 for the same period a year ago. Profit for the period attributable to equity holders of the company was MYR 2,211,000 compared to MYR 2,152,000 for the same period a year ago. Diluted earnings per share attributable to owners of the company were MYR 1.15 against MYR 1.12 a year ago. Net cash used in operating activities was MYR 505,000 against net cash generated from operating activities of MYR 20,098,000 for the same period a year ago. Purchase of property, plant and equipment was MYR 2,544,000 compared to MYR 52,074,000 for the same period a year ago. Plantation development expenditure was MYR 3,910,000 compared to MYR 20,474,000 for the same period a year ago. The Group’s turnover represented an increase of 47% as compared to MYR 13.855 million for the preceding financial year corresponding quarter mainly attributable to the increase in production of FFB by 18% and the sales of CPO and PK. The slight decrease in profit before tax was due to low CPO and PK prices, selling expenses for palm products and loan interest incurred during the current quarter despite an increase in revenue.
