In addition, the company offers switches, hubs, routers, wireless local area networks, wireless wide area networks, network interface cards, cellular data cards, network-attached storage, and storage area networks; VoIP, communications, modems, phone systems, and video/audio conferencing; and firewalls, VPN, intrusion detection, and authentication devices and appliances. Further, it provides mobile handsets, tablets, navigation devices, aircards, SIM cards, flash memory, and other mobile companion products; supply chain, bid and inventory management, integration, technical support, training, financial and credit, marketing, marketing agency, business intelligence and analytics, e-commerce, managed, cloud, managed print, solution center, professional, and mobility device lifecycle services. Ingram Micro Inc. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended April 4, 2015. For the quarter, the company reported net sales of $10,644,426,000 against $10,383,989,000 a year ago. Income from operations was $97,715,000 against $68,360,000 a year ago. Income before income taxes was $65,015,000 against $43,892,000 a year ago. Net income was $43,275,000 against $24,833,000 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share were $0.27 against $0.16 a year ago. Cash from operating activities was $58,971,000 against cash used in operating activities of $426,430,000 a year ago. Capital expenditures were $21,767,000 against $22,320,000 a year ago. Non-GAAP operating income was $77.9 million against $122.9 million a year ago. Non-GAAP net income was $68.2 million or $0.43 per share compared to $67.9 million or $0.43 per share a year ago. For the 2015 second quarter, Ingram Micro currently expects consolidated sales to grow high-single digits in local currency and to be relatively flat in U.S. dollars when compared to the 2014 second quarter. Non-GAAP earnings per diluted share for the 2015 second quarter are expected to be in the range of 50 to 58 cents, which includes a negative impact of 4 cents related to currency movement, when compared with the second quarter last year. Logic Instrument and Ingram Micro Announce Distribution Agreement for the Entire Latin America Market

Logic Instrument and Ingram Micro Inc. announced the signature of a distribution agreement for the entire Latin America market. To respond to inquiries for which no products could be offered yet, Ingram Micro was looking for rugged tablet PCs and came across the Fieldbook series of Logic Instrument. The rugged tablets of the European manufacturer convinced immediately by their durability, performance, and their high quality. Ingram Micro will promote the Fieldbook devices via its B2B division DCPOS (Data Capture & Point of Sales) in order to boost sales in Latin America. This is done through a network of more than 150 partners throughout South America, consisting mainly of resellers and system integrators who specialize in various sectors.

ShoreTel, Ingram Micro and HP Team to Provide Unified Communications Solutions for Small-to-Medium- Sized Businesses

ShoreTel, Ingram Micro Inc. and HP announced they will jointly bring to market unified communications offerings for small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs). The new solution sets are sold through Ingram Micro's channel partner network and will include ShoreTel cloud services and HP routers and POE switches. Ingram Micro has been selling the ShoreTel on-premises solution for four years, and is now certified to offer ShoreTel Sky®, making them both a Valued Added Distributor (VAD) and Cloud Service Distributor (CSD). With this joint solution, named HP Networking for ShoreTel Solutions, customers purchase the ShoreTel cloud offering and can choose from an HP Switch or both an HP switch and an HP router, depending on their needs. The offers will be available via joint HP and ShoreTel channel partners who work with Ingram Micro.
