Ingram Micro Inc. Reports Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the Fourth Quarter and Full Year Ended January 3, 2015; Provides Earnings Guidance for the First Quarter of 2015; Reaffirms Earnings Guidance for the Years 2015 and 2016

Ingram Micro Inc. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year ended January 3, 2015. For the quarter, the company reported net sales of $13,956,218,000 against $11,832,844,000 for the same period a year ago. Driven by strong growth across all geographies, worldwide sales increased year-over-year. The addition of a 14 week in the 2014 fourth quarter benefited worldwide sales by approximately 7 percentage points when compared to last year. The translation of foreign currencies resulted in a year-over-year headwind to fourth quarter revenue growth of more than 4 percentage points. Income from operations was $200,968,000 against $172,592,000 for the same period a year ago. Income before income taxes was $170,939,000 against $152,917,000 for the same period a year ago. Net income was $119,011,000 or $0.74 per diluted against $112,200,000 or $0.71 per diluted share for the same period a year ago. Non-GAAP operating income was $246.5 million against $210.8 million for the same period a year ago. Non-GAAP net income was $156.0 million or $0.98 per diluted share against $139.1 million or $0.88 per diluted share for the same period a year ago. Non-GAAP operating income was up 17% over last year benefiting from strong performance in North America and Asia Pacific, driven by solid operating leverage and increasing revenue contribution from key strategic initiatives, including mobility, supply chain solutions and cloud. The translation of foreign currencies negatively impacted 2014 fourth quarter non-GAAP net income by $8 million, or 5 cents per diluted share, when compared to the 2013 fourth quarter. CapEx for the quarter was $36 million. For the year, the company reported net sales of $46,487,426,000 against $42,553,918,000 for the same period a year ago. Income from operations was $487,262,000 against $514,875,000 for the same period a year ago. Income before income taxes was $394,751,000 against $436,099,000 for the same period a year ago. Net income was $266,691,000 or $1.67 per diluted against $310,583,000 or $1.99 per diluted share for the same period a year ago. Cash used operating activities was $490,102,000 against cash provided by operating activities of $466,040,000 for the same period a year ago. Capital expenditures were $88,651,000 against $95,639,000 for the same period a year ago. Non-GAAP operating income was $676.4 million against $598.4 million for the same period a year ago. Non-GAAP net income was $408.6 million or $2.56 per diluted share against $371.1 million or $2.37 per diluted share for the same period a year ago. In 2015, the company expects the demand environment to remain stable and expects that the company will continue to outpace IT spending growth in local currency in the majority of its countries. For 2015, the company expects revenue to grow mid single-digits in local currency and to be relatively flat in U.S. dollars. For the 2015 year, the negative effect of the currency translation versus last year impacts its previously provided earnings expectations by approximately $0.15 per share. The company full year expectations assume the average exchange rate in 2015 to be $1.15 per euro. The fall on currency really hasn't changed its expectations for 2015. So overall, when it talked about the expectations for 2015 in June and during its Investor Day with the range of $2.60 to $3.10, the company's expectation would be to achiev towards the high end of the range. Now with the currency adjustment basically to those ranges at the top end, the company is still going to be at an adjusted range towards the high end of that adjusted range. For the 2015 first quarter, the company currently expects revenue in U.S. dollars to be flat to up 3% versus last year. The company anticipates, however, that the company will continue to face increased competitive pricing pressure in Europe. Non-GAAP earnings per share for the first quarter is expected to be in the range of $0.40 to $0.47, which reflects the significant negative impact related to currency movement of $0.04. The company a head into 2015, is confident in delivering on its 2016 profitability plan remains high.
