As of June 30, 2014, the company had Harvey Norman, Domayne, and Joyce Mayne franchised complexes in Australia; and Harvey Norman company-operated stores in New Zealand, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Singapore, Malaysia, Slovenia, and Croatia. It has 198 franchised stores in Australia and 82 company-operated stores internationally. In addition, the company is involved in property investment and media placement activities, as well as provides consumer finance and other commercial advances. Harvey Norman Holdings Limited was founded in 1982 and is based in Homebush West, Australia.

Harvey Norman Holdings Ltd. announced earnings results for the half-year ended December 31, 2014. For the period, operating profit was $200.79 million, a 25.8% increase on the $159.64 million result in the previous corresponding period. Net profit after tax (including property revaluations) was $141.98 million or 13.19 cents per share, up 27.4% from $111.42 million or 10.36 cents per share. Net profit after tax (excluding property revaluations) was $139.13 million against $117.45 million a year ago. Global sales increased 3.2% to $3.09 billion, a 3.4% increase on a like-for-like basis. Profit before tax (including property revaluations) was $200.79 million, a 25.8% increase on the $159.64 million result in the previous corresponding period. Profit before tax (excluding property revaluations) was $196.93 million against $168.25 million a year ago. EBIT (excluding property revaluations) was $214.34 million against $186.86 million a year ago. Sales revenue was $839.33 million against $776.96 million a year ago. Operating cash flow was $136.21 million against $183.48 million a year ago.

Like for like sales increased by 3.4% when compared to the same period ended 31 December 2013. For the month of January 2015, global sales increased by 8.0% compared to the month of January 2014. Like for like Global sales increased by 8.4% compared to the month of January 2014.

Harvey Norman Holdings Ltd. Recommends Payment of a Fully Franked Interim Dividend, Payable on May 4, 2015

The Board of Harvey Norman Holdings Ltd. has recommended payment of a fully franked interim dividend of 9 cents per share, increased from 6 cents per share paid last year. Together with the fully franked special dividend paid in December, this brings total dividends for the half year to 23 cents. The interim dividend is payable on May 4, 2015 to shareholders registered April 10, 2015.
