The RF Communications segment supplies secure tactical radio communications and high-grade encryption solutions for military, government, and commercial customers, as well as secure communications systems and equipment for public safety, utility, and transportation customers. This segment designs, develops, and manufactures a line of secure radio communications products and systems for manpack, handheld, vehicular, airborne, strategic fixed-site, and shipboard installations that span the communications architecture from high capacity line of site, backbone radios, small soldier personal radios, and tablet computers. This segment also offers assured communications systems and equipment, including Internet Protocol based voice and data communications system for public safety, federal, utility, commercial, and transportation organizations; and multiband radios comprising a handheld radio and a full-spectrum mobile radio for vehicles. The Integrated Network Solutions segment provides integrated communications and information technology and services, including various trusted networking capabilities to support government, energy, maritime, and healthcare customers. This segment serves IT services, managed satellite and terrestrial communications solutions, and commercial healthcare solutions markets. The Government Communications Systems segment develops, produces, integrates, and supports advanced communications and information systems that solve the mission-critical challenges of civilian, intelligence, and defense government customers. The company was founded in 1916 and is headquartered in Melbourne, Florida.

Harris Corporation Receives Order from Air National Guard for Vehicle Communication Systems

Harris Corporation has received an order to supply communication systems to the Air National Guard for crucial ground-to-air communications during wartime and domestic emergency responses, including natural disasters. The five-channel vehicle communication systems leverage Harris advanced wideband tactical radio and systems integration capabilities to provide voice and data across the mission area. The systems include Harris FalconIII AN/PRC-117G multiband manpack radios, theRF-7800I advanced vehicle intercom system and a Unity XG-100M full-spectrum multiband mobile radio. The AN/PRC-117G is the first and only widely deployed tactical wideband networking radio that offers secure interoperability with the broad suite of U.S.ground, airborne and satellite based communication assets. Harris also will provide installation, training and ongoing service and support.

Harris Wins $15 Million Order from US Marine Corps

Harris announced that it has received a $15 million order to expand applications for wideband tactical networking for the U.S. Marine Corps. The company announced it will provide Falcon III vehicular radio systems and accessories to the U.S. Marine Corps AN/MRC-145 program.

Harris Corporation and nLogic Team to Provide Defense Commissary Agency with Network Communications Services

Harris Corporation and nLogic were awarded a contract to provide the Defense Commissary Agency with network infrastructure services for the Department of Defense Commissary system. Harris and nLogic will provide network infrastructure support for 245 military commissaries and seven central distribution centers in the United States and abroad that support U.S. military and DOD retirees. Harris and nLogic will team to deliver the kind of secure operation that military personnel and their families have come to expect in the private sector. The team will accommodate major deployments on short notice by leveraging Harris global field services group to provide qualified, technical assistance to customers anywhere, anytime.
