Hill-Rom Holdings, Inc. operates as a medical technology company worldwide. The company operates through three segments: North America, Surgical and Respiratory Care, and International. It provides patient care systems, including various bed systems, as well as mobility solutions; and patient/resident room solutions, which include architectural products and health care furniture. The company also rents and sells non-invasive therapeutic products and surfaces for the prevention and treatment of various acute and chronic medical conditions, including pulmonary, wound, and bariatric conditions; and provides rentals and health care provider asset management services for moveable medical equipment, such as ventilators, defibrillators, intravenous pumps, and patient monitoring equipment. In addition, it offers surgical products, such as surgical tables, lights, and pendants utilized within the operating rooms; positioning devices for use in shoulder, hip, spinal, and lithotomy surgeries, as well as platform-neutral positioning accessories for operating room tables; operating room disposable products, such as scalpels and blades, light handle systems, skin markers, and other disposable products; and therapeutic products that provide bronchial hygiene for acute and home care patients. Further, the company develops and markets various communications technologies and software solutions to enhance patient safety and efficiency at the point of care. It sells and rents its products primarily to acute and extended care facilities through direct sales force and distributors, as well as sells its products to patients in the home. Hill-Rom Holdings, Inc. was founded in 1969 and is headquartered in Batesville, Indiana.

Hill-Rom Holdings, Inc. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended June 30, 2015. For the quarter, the company's total revenues were $474.5 million compared to $397.6 million for the same period of last year. Operating profit was $31.3 million compared to $38.0 million for the same period of last year. Net income attributable to common shareholders was $19.1 million or $0.33 per diluted share compared to $26.1 million or $0.45 per diluted share for the same period of last year. Adjusted income before taxes was $51.1 million compared to $48.1 million for the same period of last year. Adjusted diluted earnings per share were $0.62 compared to $0.59 for the same period of last year. Adjusted operating profit for the quarter was $54 million, representing an 11.5% operating margin. For the nine months, the company's total revenues were $1,414.3 million compared to $1,206.3 million for the same period of last year. Operating profit was $88.9 million compared to $87.2 million for the same period of last year. Net income attributable to common shareholders was $57.3 million or $0.99 per diluted share compared to $36 million or $0.61 per diluted share for the same period of last year. Adjusted income before taxes was $143.7 million compared to $128.4 million for the same period of last year. Adjusted diluted earnings per share were $1.75 compared to $1.51 for the same period of last year. Net cash provided by operating activities was $124.4 million compared to $134.2 million a year ago, down primarily due to lower contribution from working capital and an increase in cash taxes. Capital expenditures and purchases of intangibles was $102.6 million compared to $44.4 million a year ago, due mostly to the incremental investment in rental fleet. For the fourth quarter of fiscal 2015, the company expects reported revenue growth of 1% to 3%. This reflects low-single-digit constant currency organic growth; and negative currency impact of approximately 5%. The company expects adjusted diluted earnings per share in the range of $0.76 to $0.79. In addition, the company expects fourth quarter operating margin to be the strongest of the year and up over the prior year despite the dilutive impact from Trumpf and other external margin pressures. For fiscal 2015, the company expects reported revenue growth of 12% to 13%, compared to 10% to 11% previously. This reflects mid-single-digit constant currency organic growth, compared to low-to-mid-single digit growth previously; and negative currency impact of approximately 6%. The company expects full year adjusted earnings per diluted share to be $2.51 to $2.54, compared to $2.50 to $2.54 previously.  The company now expects cash flow from operations for the full year to be approximately $235 million, compared to $250 million previously.  Capital expenditures are now expected to be $125 million, compared to $140 million previously. As a reminder, CapEx outlook includes nonrecurring investment in rental fleet, which expect to be approximately $50 million in 2015.
