American Hotel Income Properties REIT LP announced a cash distribution of CAD 0.075 per limited partnership unit (Unit) for the period of July 1, 2015 to July 31, 2015, which is equivalent to CAD 0.90 per Unit on an annualized basis. The distribution will be paid on August 14, 2015 to unitholders of record at the close of business on July 31, 2015.

American Hotel Income Properties REIT LP announced the appointment of Mr. Ian McAuley as Executive Vice President - Asset Management, effective September 1, 2015. Mr. McAuley was co-founder and President of Superior Lodging Corp. and over the past 15 years developed and operated over 150 select service hotels across Canada. Mr. McAuley has been active in the seniors housing industry as President & CEO of Continuum Health Care Holdings Ltd.

American Hotel Income Properties REIT LP Announces Additional Room Commitments and 24-Room Expansion at the New Oak Tree Inn Glendive, Montana

American Hotel Income Properties REIT LP (AHIP) announced increased room commitments at the recently acquired 50-room Oak Tree Inn hotel located in Glendive, Montana. The railway customer at the Glendive Property is taking their daily room commitment from 40 guestrooms to 55 guestrooms. In order to accommodate this increased demand, AHIP has entered into an agreement with SunOne Developments Inc. to construct a 24-room expansion at the Glendive Property for a total purchase price of $2.8 million. The expansion is part of AHIP's previously announced railway growth strategy of constructing additional guestrooms at existing, high occupancy Oak Tree Inn railway hotels. The Glendive Property is currently operating at high occupancy levels and is secured by a long-term railway contract. The expansion is expected to generate a double-digit year one return on equity and will be immediately accretive to unitholders. Construction will commence right away with completion targeted for late-2015.
