Holland Colours N.V., together with its subsidiaries, is engaged in the manufacture, distribution, and sale of colour concentrates in Europe, the Americas, and Asia. The company's primary products include Holcobatch and Holcoprill. It offers colourants for the building and construction industry, including profiles for windows and doors; pipes and tubing, including fittings; siding and cladding; decking; fencing; vinyl window blinds; expanded and extruded polystyrenes for insulation, shipping, and other uses; and other applications. The company also provides colourants for plastic packaging applications comprising beverages, foods, personal and health care products, detergents and cleaners, pharmaceuticals and nutriceuticals, cosmetics and fragrances, dairy, and automotive products, as well as beer, wine, and alcohol products. In addition, it supplies colourants for sealants and silicone rubbers; and special applications, such as additives, coatings/adhesives, compounding, EPS/XPS, fibers, sheets/foams, biopolymers, flexible PVCs, mixtures/dry blends, and polyethylene masterbatches. Holland Colours N.V. sells its products through a network of agents and distributors. The company was founded in 1979 and is based in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. Holland Colours N.V. is a subsidiary of Holland Pigments BV.

Holland Colours Announces Sales Results for the First Quarter of 2015

Holland Colours announced sales results for the first quarter of 2015. The company realized a 16% increase in sales in the first quarter of the 2015/2016 financial year versus the same period last year. Favorable currency effects, mainly from appreciation of the US dollar, explain about 11% of the sales increase. The company closed the first quarter with a considerably better operating result, mainly as a result of top line growth.

Law Suit Against Memorial Hospital Takes Steps Toward Being Certified as Class Action

An federal appellate court is considering a motion by plaintiffs in a complaint filed against Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville and its parent company HCA to certify the case as a class-action lawsuit. The lawsuit was filed in October 2015 by four Florida residents who received care at Memorial Hospital and other Florida medical centers run by HCA claiming they were billed exorbitant and unreasonable fees for emergency radiological services. One of the plaintiffs, Nicholas Acosta, was treated at Memorial Hospital's emergency room in October 2013 following a car accident and two CT scans of his brain were ordered, the total for which was higher than the $10,000 personal injury protection coverage required under Florida law. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th circuit in Atlanta agreed on July 22 to hear the plaintiffs' appeal to certify the case as a class action.

Holland Colours N.V. announced at its annual general meeting held on July 09, 2015, the shareholders approved the dividend for the financial year 2014/2015 was declared at €2.00 per ordinary share with a nominal value of €2.27. The dividend will be made available for distribution in cash. Dividend in cash is subject to 15% Dutch dividend withholding tax. The ex dividend date is July 13, 2015. The dividend record date is July 14, 2015 (after stock-exchange close). The payment of the dividend of ordinary shares will take place per July 17, 2015. The company announced that the number of supervisory board members has been increased temporarily to 5 persons. Mr. R. Zoomers and Mrs. A.R. Doornbos have been appointed as member of the supervisory Board (July 2019).
