Hilton Worldwide to Develop over 400 Hampton Hotels in China

Hilton Worldwide has signed a license agreement with Plateno Hotels Group to launch and develop the Hampton by Hilton brand in China. The arrangement will see more than 400 properties signed, with the first hotel expected to open by the end of 2015. Hampton has designed a three-star hotel prototype for top-tier cities in China, to meet the growing demand for mid-scale hotel market. The hotels in China will include consistent interior design features, public areas will have the same look and function at all properties, and the hotels will feature welcome and gathering zones, bars, communal tables and on-property amenities, including fitness centres, gaming zones, and 24-hour snack bars and restaurants.

Hilton Worldwide Announces Acquisition of Parc 55 Wyndham San Francisco - Union Square

Hilton Worldwide announced the closing of the acquisition of Parc 55 Wyndham San Francisco - Union Square. The property, which will be renamed Parc 55 San Francisco a Hilton Hotel, adds 1,024 guest rooms, 54 suites and more than 30,000 square feet of meeting and function space to Hilton's existing portfolio of San Francisco hotels. Ideally situated in the Union Square area, Parc 55 is one of five properties purchased from the proceeds of the sale of the Waldorf Astoria New York. The other hotels in the transaction include: The Reach, A Waldorf Astoria Resort and Casa Marina, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, both in Key West, and Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and Waldorf Astoria Resort Orlando. Parc 55 will be managed by the existing general manager of the property, John LaFortune. Boasting 23 meeting rooms featuring dramatic views of the city, advanced audiovisual equipment and a business center with free Wi-Fi and fax, copy and printing services, the hotel is ideal for groups of 10-700. Coupled with Hilton San Francisco Union Square, the two properties will be able to attract and accommodate larger groups with nearly 3,000 rooms and 165,000 square feet of functional meeting space combined.

Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. announced unaudited consolidated earnings and operating results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported total revenue was $2,828 million against $2,643 million a year ago. Operating income was $455 million against $89 million a year ago. Income before income taxes was $293 million against $108 million a year ago. Net income attributable to the company was $158 million against $26 million a year ago. Capital expenditures, excluding timeshare inventory, are expected to be between $350 million and $400 million. Full year 2015 RevPAR expected to increase between 5.0% and 7.0%. Net unit growth is expected to be approximately 40,000 rooms to 45,000 rooms, a 6% to 7% increase in managed and franchised rooms.
