The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc., through its subsidiaries, provides insurance and financial services to individual and business customers primarily in the United States. The company’s Commercial Lines segment offers workers’ compensation, property, automobile, marine, umbrella, liability, and livestock coverages, as well as customized insurance products and risk management services, including professional liability, bond, and specialty casualty coverages. Its Personal Lines segment provides standard automobile, homeowners, and personal umbrella coverages to individuals. The company’s Property & Casualty Other Operations segment manages property and casualty insurance. Its Group Benefits segment offers group life, accident and disability coverage, group retiree health, and voluntary benefits to employer groups, associations, affinity groups, and financial institutions; and disability underwriting, administration, claims processing, and reinsurance to other insurers and self-funded employer plans. The company’s Mutual Funds segment provides mutual funds for retail and retirement accounts; and investment-management and administrative services, such as product design, implementation, and oversight, as well as the runoff of the mutual funds supporting the company's variable annuity products. Its Talcott Resolution segment engages in the individual annuity business providing U.S. annuity products for individuals, which include variable, fixed, and payout annuity products. The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. was founded in 1810 and is headquartered in Hartford, Connecticut.

The Hartford Announces Executive Changes, Effective June 1, 2015

The Hartford has named David Robinson executive vice president and general counsel and Kathy Bromage as chief marketing and communications officer, effective June 1, 2015. Robinson succeeds current General Counsel Alan Kreczko. Both Robinson and Bromage will report to The Hartford’s Chairman and CEO Christopher Swift. Alan J. Kreczko assumed the role of executive vice president and general counsel of The Hartford in June 2007, overseeing the law department, government affairs, compliance and communications. He also chaired the company’s Environment Committee. Prior to joining The Hartford in 2003, Kreczko held various senior positions within the United States government, including as the acting assistant secretary of state for Population, Refugees and Migration, and as legal advisor to President Clinton’s National Security Council. He also served as deputy general counsel to the Department of State and as legal advisor to the President of the United States’ personal representatives for Middle East negotiations. David Robinson joined The Hartford in 2006. David has held a number of leadership positions at the company, including leading The Hartford’s legal efforts in Property & Casualty and Group Benefits, overseeing corporate law and serving as corporate secretary, and most recently, driving the company’s restructuring and transformation efforts. Before joining The Hartford, Robinson spent a number of years with Chubb, holding positions of increasing responsibility including serving as deputy general counsel. He also has a background in commercial litigation. Robinson is a member of the Board of Overseers of the RAND Corporation Institute for Civil Justice and serves on the board of the Metro Hartford Alliance and the executive board of the Connecticut Insurance & Financial Services Cluster.

The Hartford Names Ray Sprague as Executive Vice President, Personal Lines

The Hartford has named Ray Sprague executive vice president, Personal Lines, effective immediately. Sprague will report to Doug Elliot, president of The Hartford. Most recently, Sprague was acting leader of Personal Lines and head of Strategy and Business Development for The Hartford. In that role, he was responsible for the company's enterprise strategy to drive profitable growth, working closely with the businesses to identify new product and distribution opportunities and other growth initiatives.

Hartford Elects Teresa Wynn Roseborough to the Board of Directors, Effective April 1, 2015

Teresa Wynn Roseborough has been elected to The Hartford's board of directors, effective April 1, 2015. Roseborough will serve on the board's Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and the Finance, Investment and Risk Management Committee. Roseborough currently serves as executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of The Home Depot. Previously, she held several legal positions at MetLife, including senior chief counsel and deputy general counsel.
