Hercules Offshore Announces Five Year Contract for Hercules 260

Hercules Offshore, Inc. announced that it has signed a five-year contract with a subsidiary of Eni S.p.A. for use of the Hercules 260 in West Africa. The dayrate under the contract will range from a minimum of $75,000 per day when the price of Brent crude oil is $86 or less per barrel, to a maximum of $125,000 per day when the price of Brent crude oil is $125 or more per barrel. Contract commencement is expected in early April 2015. Costs for contract specific upgrades will be reimbursed by the operator.

Hercules Offshore, Inc. Receives Non-Compliance Notice From NASDAQ

On March 25, 2015, Hercules Offshore, Inc. received a letter from The NASDAQ Stock Market notifying the company that, for 30 consecutive business days, the bid price for the company’s common stock was below the minimum $1.00 per share requirement for continued listing on The Nasdaq Global Select Market under Nasdaq Listing Rule 5450(a)(1). The notice does not have an immediate effect on the listing of the company’s common stock, and the company’s common stock will continue to trade on The Nasdaq Global Select Market. The company has 180 days, or until September 21, 2015, to regain compliance with the minimum bid price requirement. To regain compliance, the minimum bid price of the company’s common stock must meet or exceed $1.00 per share for a minimum of ten consecutive business days during the 180-day grace period as determined by Nasdaq staff. In the event the company receives notice that its common stock is being delisted, Nasdaq rules permit the company to appeal any delisting determination by the Nasdaq staff to a hearings panel. The company actively monitors the price of its common stock and will consider all available options to regain compliance with the continued listing standards.

Hercules Offshore Terminates Drilling Contract with Saudi Aramco

Hercules Offshore announced that one of its drilling contracts with the main oil company in Saudi Arabia was terminated. Saudi Aramco cancelled a contract to lease the Hercules 261 rig, effective March 27. The company said it's been in talks with the Saudi oil company to reduce the day rates for two other rigs, Hercules 262 and Hercules 266. There was no update on the status of rig contracts with Hercules from Saudi Aramco.
