Harley-Davidson, Inc. manufactures cruiser and touring motorcycles. The company operates in two segments, Motorcycles & Related Products and Financial Services. The Motorcycles & Related Products segment designs, manufactures, and sells wholesale street-legal Harley-Davidson motorcycles, as well as a line of motorcycle parts, accessories, general merchandise, and related services. This segment manufactures six platforms of motorcycles: Touring, Dyna, Softail, Sportster, V-Rod, and Street. It offers motorcycle parts and accessories comprising replacement parts, and mechanical and cosmetic accessories; general merchandise, such as MotorClothes apparel and riding gear; and motorcycle rentals and motorcycle rider training services, as well as licenses the Harley-Davidson name and other trademarks. This segment sells its products to retail customers through a network of independent dealers primarily in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Asia-Pacific, and Latin America. The Financial Services segment provides wholesale and retail financing, and insurance and insurance-related programs to dealers and retail customers. It also offers wholesale financial services, including floor plan and open account financing of motorcycles, and motorcycle parts and accessories; and operates an insurance agency that offers point-of-sale protection products through Harley-Davidson dealers in the United States and Canada, including motorcycle insurance, extended service contracts, credit protection, and motorcycle maintenance protection. Harley-Davidson, Inc. was founded in 1903 and is headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Harley-Davidson, Inc. Plans Direct Distribution to Independent Dealers in Canada

Harley-Davidson, Inc. will transition to a model of direct distribution to independently owned dealers in Canada by July 31, 2017, when the company's current agreement ends with Deeley Harley-Davidson Canada. The two companies are also in discussions about a possible agreement to move up the transition in Canadian operations to as early as the third quarter of 2015. As part of its global growth strategy, Harley-Davidson has largely migrated to a globally consistent model of direct distribution to independently owned dealers and, in recent years, has established direct distribution and operations in a number of its major markets including Brazil, Australia, Italy and the Scandinavian countries. Under direct distribution, the company manages sales to dealers, marketing, dealer recruitment and retail capabilities, consumer events and other aspects of its in-market activities, often through wholly-owned subsidiaries. Canada remains among the only markets operating through a third-party distributor arrangement.

Harley-Davidson, Inc. named Matthew S. (Matt) Levatich, currently President and Chief Operating Officer of Harley-Davidson Motor Company, to succeed Keith Wandell as President and Chief Executive Officer of Harley-Davidson, Inc. Upon Wandell's retirement May 1, 2015. Levatich has also been elected, through Board action, to the Harley-Davidson Board of Directors. Levatich joined Harley-Davidson in 1994. Prior to becoming President and COO of Harley-Davidson Motor Company in May 2009, he held wide-ranging roles in the U.S. and Europe.

Harley-Davidson, Inc. Announces Increases Quarterly Dividend, Payable on March 6, 2015

The Harley-Davidson, Inc. announced that its Board of Directors has approved a cash dividend of $0.31 per share for the first quarter of 2015, an increase of 13% compared to the fourth quarter 2014 dividend of $0.275 per share. The dividend is payable March 6, 2015, to the holders of record of the company's common stock on February 18, 2015.
