ENGIE SA engages in power, natural gas, and energy services businesses. The company operates through five segments: GDF SUEZ Energy International, GDF SUEZ Energy Europe, GDF SUEZ Global Gas & LNG, GDF SUEZ Infrastructures, and GDF SUEZ Energy Services. The GDF SUEZ Energy International segment produces and markets power in North America, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, the United Kingdom, Turkey, and the Middle East, as well as distributes and markets gas in North America, Latin America, Asia, and Turkey. This segment is also involved in liquefied natural gas (LNG) import and regasification activities in North America and Chile; and seawater desalination in the Arabian Peninsula. The GDF SUEZ Energy Europe segment produces electricity and sells energy in Europe. This segment generates electricity through hydropower, wind power, solar energy, biomass, geothermal, nuclear energy, coal, and fuel oil. The GDF SUEZ Global Gas & LNG segment explores, develops, and operates oil and gas fields; manages gas supply contract portfolio and interests in liquefaction facilities; operates an LNG fleet; and owns regasification capacities in LNG terminals. The GDF SUEZ Infrastructures segment operates natural gas transportation, storage, and distribution networks; and LNG terminals in France and Germany, as well as sells access rights to its infrastructure to third parties. The GDF SUEZ Energy Services segment designs and implements environmental and energy efficiency solutions through multi-technical services in the fields of engineering, installations, and energy services. The company was formerly known as GDF SUEZ SA and changed its name to ENGIE SA in April 2015. ENGIE SA was founded in 1880 and is headquartered in Courbevoie, France.

ENGIE Signs Four Memorandums of Understanding and Cooperation with PEMEX, CFE and CENAGAS to Promote Energy Development

Gérard Mestrallet, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ENGIE (formerly GDF SUEZ) concluded four cooperation agreements; two with PEMEX, one with the CFE (Federal Electricity Commission) and one with CENAGAS (National Center of Natural Gas Control). The Memorandums of Understanding and Cooperation signed with PEMEX, CFE and CENAGAS demonstrate ENGIE s desire to collaborate and work together on natural gas and power development projects. With the CFE, the agreement involves exchanging technological knowledge, experiences and the best practices for environmentally-friendly developments in the natural gas and electricity industries. With PEMEX, the agreements involve exploring the development of LNG projects on the Pacific coast of Mexico, infrastructures to transport gas via pipeline, as well as the possibility of executing a joint venture to commercialize natural gas. In addition, ENGIE and PEMEX will analyze plans for the development of efficient energy and efficient cogeneration projects aimed at executing possible joint ventures or association agreements, in particular a cogeneration plant located in the northeast of Mexico.

State Property Fund Points High Interest Of ENGIE In Centrenergo

The State Property Fund points to high interest of ENGIE SA (ENXTPA:GSZ) in privatization of Public Joint-Stock Company Centrenergo (UKR:CEEN), fund Chairman Ihor Bilous announced this at a Government session. He stated that ENGIE’s representatives have confirmed their intention in the coming three days to show a presentation to the Board of Directors concerning possible investments in Centrenergo.
