It offers a range of products, including various prepregs, automotive prepreg materials, structural core materials, and adhesives; fire, smoke, and toxicity retardant materials; laminating and infusion systems; repair solutions and tooling resins; and in-mould process coats and wood coatings. The company also provides reinforcements, vacuum consumables, and ancillaries, including solvents, filler powders, and sundries; B³ SmartPac, a construction solution that helps builders to manufacture composite components; and composite panels. In addition, it offers wind blade master plugs, wind blade moulds, hydraulic mould closing systems, hydraulic mould clamping systems, mould heating systems, jigs and fixtures, and transport systems, as well as automotive composite solutions. Further, the company is involved in engineering, prototyping, and composite structures manufacturing, as well as designing and manufacturing pedestrian bridges. It serves wind energy, composite tooling, aerospace, rail, automotive, industrial and marine, ocean energy, engineered structures, and ballistics and defense markets. Gurit Holding AG was founded in 1835 and is based in Wattwil, Switzerland.

Gurit Announces Earnings Results for the First Half of Fiscal 201; Provides Revenue Guidance for the Full Year of Fiscal 2015

Gurit announced earnings results for the first half of fiscal 2015. For the six months, the company announced net profit rose by 35% year on year to CHF 9.6 million ($10.1 million) supported by improved sales at the firm's wind energy business. The company's sales rose by 6.5% year on year to CHF 177.8 million in January-June this year while earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) were up by 61.8% at CHF 15.8 million. The company provided revenue guidance for the full year of fiscal 2015. The company expects net sales for the full year 2015 to amount to around CHF 350 million, representing a growth of some 4% over the 2014 financial year.

Gurit Holding AG raised earnings outlook for the first half of 2015. For the period, the company expects results to come in higher than the CHF 167 million generated in the first six months of 2014 in reported Swiss Francs. Due to higher demand and the ongoing operational improvements, the company furthermore currently expects to be able to achieve a first half-year 2015 profit margin which exceeds the current market expectation and surpasses the lower end of its mid-term guidance of an 8% to 10% operating profit margin for the first six months of 2015.

Gurit announced the appointment of Laurent Michaux as General Manager Composite Components and member of the Executive Committee, effective May 1, 2015. Laurent Michaux brings a wealth of leadership experience to Gurit, including proven knowledge and broad automotive industrial experience in an international business environment. He will report to Rudolf Hadorn, Chief Executive Officer of Gurit. Mr. Michaux joins Gurit from Faurecia, where he holds the position of Group Customer Strategy Vice President and SAS Automotive Systems (a 50/50 Joint Venture between Faurecia & Continental) Board Director. Prior to this, he served as Interior Systems Sales, Marketing & Business Development Vice President and before that as General Manager for France/UK at SAS Automotive Systems.
