The Institutional Client Services segment is involved in client execution activities related to making markets in interest rate products, credit products, mortgages, currencies, commodities, and equities; and provides securities services, such as financing, securities lending, and other prime brokerage services, as well as markets in and clears client transactions on primary stock, options, and futures exchanges. The Investing & Lending segment invests in and originates longer-term loans to provide financing to clients; and makes investments in debt securities and loans, public and private equity securities, and real estate entities. The Investment Management segment offers investment management products and services; and wealth advisory services, including portfolio management and financial counseling, and brokerage and other transaction services. The company serves corporations, financial institutions, governments, and high-net-worth individuals. The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. was founded in 1869 and is headquartered in New York, New York.

Santos To Sell Gas Pipeline And Coal Seam Gas Venture

Santos Limited (ASX:STO) is looking to sell a gas pipeline in Queensland for AUD 6 billion. Santos is also looking for a buyer for up to 30% of its Gunnedah coal seam gas venture in NSW. Santos' GLNG venture in Queensland has appointed Goldman Sachs to advice on the sale process, according to Chief Executive Officer David Knox.

Citigroup Inc, Goldman Sachs and UBS AG Agree to Pay RMBS Settlement

Citigroup Inc, Goldman Sachs and UBS AG are to pay in an RMBS settlement with a pension fund. The three firms have agreed to a settlement of USD 235 million with a pension fund to resolve allegations of fraud on the part of the underwriters involving residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS). New Jersey Carpenters Health Fund filed a motion for preliminary settlement approval on February 13, 2015 to end a lawsuit involving the sale of RMBS to the health fund and other investors by Residential Accredited Loans Inc. According to the complaint, Residential Capital and the underwriter defendants failed to disclose weaknesses in the loans for 59 offerings.
