Greenyard Foods NV processes and commercializes fruits, vegetables, and ready-to eat food products, both deep-frozen and canned, in France, the United kingdom, Germany, Belgium, other EU-countries, and internationally. The company’s Frozen division offers frozen vegetables and fruits, deep-frozen vegetable dishes, and ready-to-use meals under the Pinguin brand to retail, food service, and food industries. Its Canning division provides processed vegetables and fruits in cans and jars; and ready-to-eat food products, such as soups, sauces, dips, and pasta dishes. This division distributes its products under the Noliko brand through retailers. The company also offers pre-cut and mixed vegetables, deep frozen herbs and spices, and organic products. In addition, Greenyard Foods NV exports its products. It also serves to catering markets and food companies. The company was formerly known as Pinguin NV and changed its name to Greenyard Foods NV in September 2013. Greenyard Foods NV was founded in 1965 and is based in Ghent, Belgium.

Greenyard Foods reported consolidated earnings results for the half year ended September 30, 2014. For the period, the company reported sales of EUR 297.564 million against EUR 295.559 million a year ago. REBITDA was EUR 39.021 million against EUR 24.034 million a year ago. REBIT was EUR 23.002 million against EUR 12.605 million a year ago. EBIT was EUR 22.758 million against EUR 9.880 million a year ago. Profit before tax was EUR 18.845 million against EUR 1.066 million a year ago. Profit of the period from continuing operations was EUR 14.290 million or EUR 0.76 per diluted share against loss of the period from continuing operations of EUR 3.264 million or EUR 0.19 per diluted share a year ago. Profit the period attributable to the shareholders of the company was EUR 14.219 million against EUR 62.285 million a year ago. Cash flow from operating activities was EUR 34.624 million against EUR 19.052 million a year ago. Free cash flow was EUR 1.932 million against negative free cash flow of EUR 13.133 million a year ago. Earnings per diluted share were EUR 0.76 against EUR 3.28 a year ago. REBITDA increase is due to the commercial and operational results in both divisions following better operational efficiencies and a larger focus on portfolio mix. In addition, seasonality of operations leads to the large production volumes in the first half of the year with a positive impact on the results. REBIT increase can be nearly entirely explained by the commercial and operational results both in the frozen and canning division.
