Great Portland Estates plc Announces Group Earnings Results for the Year Ended 31 March 2015; Declares Final Dividend for the Year 2015

Great Portland Estates plc announced group earnings results for the year ended 31 March 2015. For the year, the company reported total revenue of £88.8 million against £85.2 million a year ago. Operating profit before surplus on property and results of joint ventures was £39.3 million against £42.7 million a year ago. Operating profit was £504.6 million against £473.9 million a year ago. Profit before tax was £507.4 million against £422.2 million a year ago. Profit for the year was £508.2 million or 147.4 pence per diluted share against £422.2 million or 122.5 pence per diluted share a year ago. Diluted EPRA earnings per share was £12.7 pence against 11.0 pence a year ago. Cash flows from operating activities was £8.1 million against £17.0 million a year ago. Purchase and development of property was £93.9 million against £170.7 million a year ago. Purchase and fixed assets was £0.2 million against £170.7 million a year ago. The Board of the company has declared a final dividend of 5.5 pence per share which will be paid in July 2015 against 5.4 pence per share a year ago. All of this final dividend will be a REIT PID in respect of the group's tax exempt property rental business. Together with the interim dividend of 3.5 pence, the total dividend for the year is 9.0 pence per share against 8.8 pence per share a year ago.

Building At Wigmore Street Up For Sale

Great Portland Estates plc (LSE:GPOR) and Aberdeen Asset Management PLC (LSE:ADN) have instructed CBRE Group, Inc. (NYSE:CBG) and Colliers International to sell the 112,700 square feet 95 Wigmore Street, W1. The office block is being marketed for around £200m by The Great Wigmore Partnership.
