The company offers its products under the Maseca, Masa Rica, Tortimasa, Juana, Selecta, Mayran, Robin Hood, Polar, Loro Rojo, Elefante, Mission, Guerrero, Tortiricas, Calidad, Delicados, Rositas, Rumba, La Casa del Maiz, La Cima, Tosty, La Comadre, Luisiana, Monica, and Lassie brand names, as well as under the TIA BERTA, DECASA, REPOSADA, PODEROSA, MINSA, BRAVOS, and TRONADITAS brand names. It also designs, manufactures, and sells machines for the production of tortillas and tortilla chips under the TORTEC and BATITEC names. Gruma, S.A.B. de C.V. offers its products to retail customers, including supermarkets, mass merchandisers, membership stores, and independent stores; food service customers comprising chain restaurants, food service distributors, schools, hospitals, and military; quick-service restaurants and food processors; small tortilla manufacturers and snack manufacturers; and traditional bakeries, and cookie and pasta manufacturers. The company distributes its products primarily through independent distributors and transport firms, and wholesalers. It operates in the United States, Mexico, Central America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania. Gruma, S.A.B. de C.V. was founded in 1949 and is headquartered in San Pedro Garza García, México.

Gruma S.A.B. de CV Approves Payment of a Cash Dividend, Payable on July 08, 2015

Gruma S.A.B. de CV at its General Ordinary Shareholders' Meeting held on April 24, 2015, approved the payment of a cash dividend in the amount $692,398,526.40, equivalent to $1.60 for each of the 432,749,079 issued and outstanding shares, with voting rights, which aggregate amount will be paid from the 2013 fiscal year's retained earnings. The payment of the declared dividend shall be made as of July 08, 2015, for which the corresponding publication shall be made for knowledge of all the shareholders.

Gruma S.A.B. Seeks Acquisitions

Raul Cavazos, Chief Financial Officer Gruma S.A.B. de CV (BMV:GRUMA B) said, " In any case, if we see kind of opportunity to acquire some small company in Europe, still we want to enforce our presence there and to have a broader distribution in Europe, maybe we can execute. But these acquisitions aren't going to be an important one. It's going to be a very, let's a small acquisition, if such is the case. Then what we can expect for the year, at this point in time again, is basically to have a little bit lower, about $200 million, maybe $250 million for next year."

Gruma Plans to Invest $50 Million in a New Plant in Russia

Gruma announced that it plans to invest $50 million in a new plant in Russia, over the next two years. Expected to become operational by the end of 2015, the Russian plant will be capable of producing around 31,500 tonnes of corn and wheat products including wheat tortilla wraps, tortilla and tortilla chips annually. The plant will employ 250 people.
