Goodman Reportedly To Sell Macquarie Park Assets

Goodman Group (ASX:GMG) is planning to sell several Macquarie Park assets in Sydney to Mapletree Investments Pte Ltd. as part of its $2 billion real estate sell. No deal has been struck given there are other interested parties but the properties are worth more than $250 million. Goodman Group declined to comment. Mapletree declined to comment on when contacted by the Financial Review.

Employees Provident Fund set to bolster its investments overseas by expanding its existing alliance with Goodman Group Pty Ltd. The two parties will be looking to beef up their real estate investments, such as industrial and office space, in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.

Goodman Group Reports Earnings Results for the First Half Year Ended December 31, 2014; Provides Earnings Guidance for the Second Half Year of Fiscal 2015; Revises Earnings Guidance for the Fiscal 2015

Goodman Group reported earnings results for the first half year ended December 31, 2014. The company lifted net profit 219.6% to $512.7 million from $160.4 million for the first half of last year. Operating EBITDA (look through) was $410.3 million against $379.6 million a year ago. Operating EBIT (look through) was $407.1 million against $376.2 million a year ago. Operating EBIT was $353.7 million against $318.4 million a year ago. Operating profit (pre minorities) was $338.0 million against $306.8 million a year ago. Operating profit (post minorities) was $327.1 million against $296.0 million a year ago. Revenue and other income rose 41.4% to $1.12 billion from $788.8 million. Diluted operating profit per security was 18.7 cents, up from 17.2 cents. The statutory profit was strongly influenced by higher valuations from certain Goodman urban renewal sites, reflecting zoning changes and comparable sales and contributing around $170 million of asset revaluations in the first half. The result was largely driven by its strong $2.9 billion development book and robust property fundamentals with net property income growth of 2.6% and 96% occupancy maintained across its high-quality portfolio. The company is well-positioned for the second half of fiscal 2015 and the company expects first-half operating profit to be maintained. The company has upwardly revised its forecast for full-year of fiscal 2015 operating earnings per security to 37.2 cents, up 7% on fiscal 2014.
