Givaudan SA, together with its subsidiaries, manufactures and sells fragrance and flavor products to the food, beverage, consumer goods, and fragrance companies. The company operates in two divisions, Flavours and Fragrances. The Flavours division offers flavours and tastes for products in confectionary, baked goods, sugar confectionary, chocolates, and chewing gums; beverages, such as soft drinks, fruit juices, and instant beverages; and dairy products, including ice creams and yogurts, desserts, and yellow fats, as well as savory products, such as ready made meals, snacks, soups and sauces, and meat and poultry products. The Fragrances division provides fragrance and cosmetic ingredients; fine fragrances; and fragrances for use in fabric and personal care, household and air care, skin and hair care, and oral care products. The company supplies cosmetic solutions and develops active ingredients derived from vegetable sources, microorganisms, and microalgae. It operates in Switzerland, Europe, Africa, the Middle-East, North America, Latin America, and the Asia Pacific. Givaudan SA was founded in 1796 and is headquartered in Vernier, Switzerland.

Givaudan Eyes Acquisitions

Givaudan SA (SWX:GIVN) is looking for acquisitions. Givaudan Chief Executive Officer Gilles Andrier said, "We intend to create further shareholder value through profitable growth and acquisitions."

Givaudan Announces Changes to Executive Committee

Givaudan announced changes to its Executive Committee. Simon Halle-Smith, currently Head of Human Resources for Fragrances, will become a member of the Executive Committee with responsibility for Global Human Resources. Joe Fabbri, as a member of the Executive Committee, will continue to be responsible for Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and Sustainability and take the lead on projects supporting Givaudan's strategic focus on excellence in execution at each step of the value chain. These changes are effective immediately. Simon Halle-Smith joined Givaudan from Quest in 2007, as European Human Resources Director, before being appointed Head of Human Resources for the Fragrance Division in 2009. Joe Fabbri joined the Givaudan Executive Committee in 2008 as Head of Global Human Resources and Sustainability. Since 2010, he has also assumed the responsibility for Environment, Health and Safety. He joined Givaudan in 1989 and held positions of increasing responsibility in operations, before leading the Quest integration in 2007.

Givaudan Reports Earnings Results for the First Half of 2015

Givaudan reported earnings results for the first half of 2015. For the period, the group sales increased by 1.3% on a like-for-like basis. Net income before tax was increased to CHF 381 million versus CHF 376 million in the previous year. Net income improved 11.2% to CHF 339 million. The operating cash flow was improved from CHF 218 million to CHF 340 million. Net debt was CHF 1,050,000,000. EBITDA improved by 0.6% to CHF 566 million and the EBITDA margin increased to 25.9% from 25.6% in the previous year.
