The company also undertakes infrastructure projects, including airports, coastal, defense, harbors, commercial, custodial and judicial, data centers, education, energy from waste, assisted living, flood alleviation, ground engineering, health, highways, hotels, infrastructure security, leisure and cultural, oil and gas, rail, remediation, residential, retail, sports facilities and stadium, telecommunications, water, audio visual, and wind farm projects. In addition, it develops various building and infrastructure projects through public private partnerships; and provides a range of facilities management and maintenance services for organizations in the public and private sectors. Further, the company undertakes regeneration projects through partnership with the Homes and Communities Agency. As of June 30, 2014, it had a landbank of 12,400 plots. Galliford Try Secures £66 Million Contract for the First Phase of Arena Central in Birmingham

Galliford Try has emerged as the main contractor for the first phase of Arena Central in Birmingham, which will include building HSBC's new headquarters in the city. The contract worth £66 million covers the construction of 2 Arena Central, purchased by HSBC in April after the bank announced plans to move 1,000 staff to Birmingham as part of its plan to establish a ring-fenced division in the city. Upon completion, the building will feature 210,000 sq ft of office space for more than 2,500 workers. Commencement of construction is scheduled during this summer following the completion of demolition and clearance works at the 9.2-acre site. Under this contract, Galliford Try will be also working on £10 million of public realm landscaping.

Morrison Construction Wins £55.75 Million Contract

Galliford Try plc announced that its Morrison Construction business has achieved financial close on the £55.75 million hub North Scotland contract for the Shetland Islands Council to build the new Anderson High School. Morrison Construction will carry out the construction of the new four-storey high school for up to 1,180 pupils and the three-storey 100-bed residential block and associated infrastructure works, providing a replacement for the existing high school on the Clickimin site in Lerwick, Shetland.  In addition Galliford Try Investments will invest £1.7 million in the funding for the project.

Galliford Try Reaches Financial Close with the Education Funding Agency for the £48.5 Million Priority School Building Batch

Galliford Try announced that it has reached financial close with the Education Funding Agency for the £48.5 million North and North East Lincolnshire batch of schools in the Priority School Building Programme. The batch includes two new secondary schools - The Vale Academy and Baysgarth School - as well as six new primary schools - Brumby Junior School, Burton-upon-Stather Primary School, Oasis Academy Henderson Avenue, Crosby Primary School, The Grange Primary School and Great Coates Primary School.
