Galliford Try plc operates as a house building and construction company primarily in the United Kingdom. The company develops private and affordable homes for sale; provides specialist contracting services to housing associations and local authorities; and develops mixed tenure projects, producing private housing on sites that are primarily affordable developments. The company also undertakes infrastructure projects, including airports, coastal, defense, harbors, commercial, custodial and judicial, data centers, education, energy from waste, assisted living, flood alleviation, ground engineering, health, highways, hotels, infrastructure security, leisure and cultural, oil and gas, rail, remediation, residential, retail, sports facilities and stadium, telecommunications, water, audio visual, and wind farm projects. In addition, it develops various building and infrastructure projects through public private partnerships; and provides a range of facilities management and maintenance services for organizations in the public and private sectors. Further, the company undertakes regeneration projects through partnership with the Homes and Communities Agency. As of June 30, 2014, it had a landbank of 12,400 plots. Galliford Try plc was incorporated in 1965 and is based in Uxbridge, the United Kingdom.

Galliford Try plc Announces Executive Changes

Galliford Try plc announced the executive and non-executive appointments and related changes to the Board. Peter Truscott appointed as Chief Executive effective from October 01, 2015. Peter Ventress appointed Deputy Chairman and Senior Independent Non-Executive Director. Gavin Slark appointed Non-Executive Director effective from May 13, 2015. Ken Gillespie promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Peter Rogers to retire from the Board, and Greg Fitzgerald to become Non-Executive Chairman from January 01, 2016. Peter Truscott is currently Divisional Chairman, South at Taylor Wimpey plc and a member of the Group Management team. Peter joined George Wimpey in 1984 and worked at CALA Homes from 1993 to 1996, before re-joining Wimpey where he held a succession of senior management positions. Peter will become Chief Executive with effect from October 01, 2015. Peter Ventress is currently Chief Executive Officer of Berendsen plc and a non-executive director at Premier Farnell plc, whilst Gavin Slark is Chief Executive Officer of Grafton Group plc. Both Peter and Gavin will become members of the audit, nomination and remuneration committees from appointment. The Board has also asked Ken Gillespie to assume wider Group responsibilities in addition to his role as Construction Division chief executive. In recognition of this expanded role, Ken has been appointed as Group Chief Operating Officer as well as continuing to lead the Construction Division. As planned, on Peter Ventress' appointment as Deputy Chairman Peter Rogers is retiring from the Board. Greg Fitzgerald will become Non-Executive Chairman on January 01, 2016 until the AGM in November 2017 whereupon Peter Ventress will become Chairman. These announcements mark the conclusion of the process to appoint a successor for Greg Fitzgerald as Chief Executive of Galliford Try, and to implement related changes to the Board.

Scottish Water Appoints Galliford Try Plc, MWH Treatment and Black & Veatch as Preferred Bidders for its Non-Infrastructure Quality and Standards IV Framework

Galliford Try plc announced that its infrastructure business has, in joint venture with MWH Treatment and Black & Veatch, been appointed as preferred bidder by Scottish Water for its non-infrastructure Quality and Standards IV framework. The framework starts immediately and runs for six years. The appointment is anticipated to be worth approximately £560 million to the joint venture called ESD (Efficient Service Delivery). Works will include design and build projects, both new-build and capital upgrades, for the client's water and wastewater treatment programme.

Galliford Try plc Reaches Agreement with Frasers Property on the Next Phases of the Riverside Quarter Residential Development in Wandsworth

Galliford Try plc announced that it has reached agreement with Frasers Property on the next phases of the Riverside Quarter residential development in Wandsworth. Frasers has appointed Galliford Try to construct the next three phases of the project, worth £69 million in total to the business. Phases 5C and 5D consist of two new blocks, which will include 99 apartments for sale and an additional 50 affordable homes. Phase 6A will create a new 13 storey block providing 51 new apartments for sale and 36 affordable homes together with additional commercial units and extensive landscaping, in a much sought after residential area in South West London.
