Bilfinger SE develops, builds, maintains, and operates facilities and structures for the industrial, energy, and real-estate sectors. It operates through Industrial, Power, and Building and Facility segments. The Industrial segment offers consulting, engineering, project management, piping and component engineering, plant assembly, mechanical engineering, electrical, instrumentation and control technology, process engineering, insulation, scaffolding, and corrosion protection services for the design, construction, maintenance, and modernization of plants. This segment serves oil and gas, refineries, petrochemicals, chemicals and agro-chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, power generation, and steel and aluminum sectors in Europe, the United States, and Asia. The Power segment provides services for the maintenance, repair, efficiency enhancements, service life extensions, and demolition of existing plants, as well as engineering, delivery, assembly, and commissioning of power plant facilities. This segment also designs, manufactures, and assembles components for power plant construction focusing on boiler and high-pressure piping systems, as well as erects overhead power lines in Europe, South Africa, and the Middle East. The Building and Facility segment designs, constructs, and operates real-estate projects; and manages facilities of various kinds, as well as offers consultancy and real-estate services for fund, asset, property, and facility management. This segment also provides water and wastewater systems; and services for construction and construction logistics. The company was formerly known as Bilfinger Berger SE and changed its name to Bilfinger SE in September 2012. Bilfinger SE was founded in 1880 and is headquartered in Mannheim, Germany.

Bilfinger SE Provides Earnings and Production Guidance for the Full Year 2015; Reports Earnings Results for the First Half of 2015

Bilfinger SE provided earnings and production guidance for the full year 2015. For the period, the company expects an adjusted EBITA between EUR 150 million and EUR 170 million. And the main reasons for the decline is the weak development of the oil and gas business in Industrial segments. For the period, the company anticipates an output volume versus the prior year at the same level or approximately EUR 6.25 billion. For the first half of 215, the company reported adjusted EBITA was at EUR 63 million and, hence, in line with expectations. Cash flow from operating activities improved through reduced increase in working capital. Adjusted net profit amount to EUR 33 million, and reported net profit was minus EUR 439 million for the total group. A significant negative earnings result from the impairment loss in Power of EUR 330 million in addition to further burdens from regular earnings and restructuring expenses in these businesses.

Bilfinger Reportedly To Sell Its Water Technologies Unit

Bilfinger SE (DB:GBF) has launched the sale of its Water Technologies unit as it continues to streamline its activities following six profit warnings in a year, two people familiar with the matter said. They said, Per Utnegaard, new Chief Executive Officer of Bilfinger has hired investment bank Lazard to find a buyer for the unit, which makes filters, water treatment technology and gear for water wells. First information packages on the Water Technologies unit have already been sent to prospective buyers, which include mid-market private equity funds, the sources said. Bilfinger said in a statement: "As is known, Bilfinger is reviewing its business portfolio. In connection with this, the company is investigating various strategic options for the Water Technologies division. A decision as to whether the division should be put up for sale has not yet been taken," it said, adding it was conducting a market evaluation to help it decide what the best long-term prospects were for the business. Lazard declined to comment.

Bilfinger SE Announces Changes to Executive Board; Provides Earnings Guidance for the First Half of 2015

At its meeting on July 21, 2015, the supervisory board of Bilfinger SE resolved to reduce the Executive Board from five to three members and in the near term to effect the resignation of Pieter Koolen, previously responsible for the Industrial business segment, and Joachim Enenkel, previously responsible for the Power business segment, on amicable terms. Following his departure, Pieter Koolen will be available to the company for several months in a consulting capacity. The company confirms the expectations for the first half of 2015: the company anticipates an adjusted EBITA from continuing operations in the mid double-digit million euro range.
