Fuji Heavy Announces Management Promotions

Fuji Heavy announced senior management changes under which Masahiro Kasai would be appointed as new director subject to approval at shareholders' general meeting in June 2015. He is currently the corporate executive vice-president. Nobuhiko Murakami has been promoted to corporate executive vice-president from his current position of corporate senior vice-president, senior general manager of Subaru Global Marketing. Jun Kondo, representative director, currently holding the responsibilities of Subaru's manufacturing, parts and accessories division and Subaru Indiana Automotive (SIA) will be additionally responsible for corporate planning, China project office and Subaru's cost planning and management division. The additional responsibilities given to Jun Kondo were so far looked after by Akira Mabuchi, corporate executive vice-president. The latter will now be responsible for Subaru's purchasing division. The management changes come into effect from April 2015.

For the nine months the company reported ordinary income were JPY 288.36 billion, compared to JPY 221.42 billion for the same period ended December 31, 2013. For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2015, the company expects net sales of JPY 2.85 trillion and net income of JPY 253 billion or JPY 324.20 per share.

Fuji Heavy Industries Announces Group Earnings Results for the Nine Months Ended December 2014; Revises Earnings Guidance for the Fiscal 2015

Fuji Heavy Industries announced group earnings results for the nine months ended December 2014. The company reported the group net profit increased 4.9% year on year to a record JPY 190.4 billion (USD 1.62 billion) for the first three quarters (April-December 2014) of fiscal year 2015. The company's operating profit also jumped 32.9% year on year during the first three quarters of fiscal 2015 to an all-time high of JPY 310.2 billion, on revenues of more than JPY 2.06 trillion, up 20.6% year on year. The strong nine months earnings results have prompted the company to revise upwards its full year guidance. The company has raised its full year net profit forecast from JPY 241 billion to JPY 253 billion, its operating profit projection from JPY 382 billion to JPY 410 billion, and its sales revenue outlook from JPY 2.78 trillion to JPY 2.85 trillion.
