The company operates in five segments: Oil & Gas, Industrial & Infrastructure, Government, Global Services, and Power. The Oil & Gas segment offers a range of design, engineering, procurement, construction, and project management services to upstream oil and gas production, liquefied natural gas, downstream refining, offshore production, pipeline, chemicals, and petrochemicals industries. It also provides consulting services comprising feasibility studies, process assessment, and project finance structuring and studies. The Industrial & Infrastructure segment offers design, engineering, procurement, operations and maintenance, and project management services to the mining and metals, transportation, life sciences, manufacturing, commercial and institutional, telecommunications, microelectronics, and water sectors. The Government segment provides engineering, construction, logistics, base and facilities operations and maintenance, contingency response, and environmental and nuclear services to the United States government focusing on the Department of Energy, the Department of Defense, and the Department of Homeland Security. The Global Services segment offers industrial fleet, temporary staffing, fabrication, construction, modularization, and site equipment and tool services, as well as supply chain solutions. The Power segment provides engineering, procurement, construction, program management, start-up and commissioning, operations and maintenance, and technical services for the gas fueled, solid fueled, environmental compliance, renewables, nuclear, and power services markets. The company also offers unionized management and construction services in the United States and Canada. Fluor Corporation was founded in 1912 and is headquartered in Irving, Texas.

Fluor Corporation and Sacyr Industrial, S.L.U Form New Joint Venture in Spain

Fluor Corporation announced that it has signed an agreement to divest 50% of shares in its Fluor S.A., to Sacyr Industrial S.L.U. The new entity, SacyrFluor, will be headquartered in Fluor’s Madrid operations center. The value of the divestiture is €39 million. SacyrFluor will provide project management, engineering, procurement, construction management and self-perform construction services for the energy and chemicals industry in Spain, Southern Europe, North Africa and certain countries in South America.

Fluor Corporation Reports Unaudited Consolidated Earnings for the Second Quarter and Six Months Ended June 30, 2015; Revises Earnings Guidance for the Year 2015

Fluor Corporation reported unaudited consolidated earnings for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2015. For the quarter, the company reported revenue of $4,810.1 million compared to $5,251.7 million a year ago. Earnings from continuing operations before taxes were $238.8 million compared to $285.3 million a year ago. Earnings from continuing operations were $160.7 million compared to $195.2 million a year ago. Net earnings attributable to the company were $148.5 million or $1.00 per diluted share compared to $77.8 million or $0.48 per diluted share a year ago. Earnings from continuing operations were $148.5 million or $1.00 per diluted share compares with $163 million or $1.02 per diluted share a year ago. Revenue was down mainly due to reductions in project execution activities in the Industrial & Infrastructure segment. For the six months period, the company reported revenue of $9,358.8 million compared to $10,636.3 million a year ago. Earnings from continuing operations before taxes were $487.7 million compared to $556.7 million a year ago. Earnings from continuing operations were $326.3 million or $1.96 per diluted share compared to $388.5 million or $1.93 per diluted share a year ago. Net earnings attributable to the company were $292.6 million or $1.96 per diluted share compared to $226.9 million or $1.41 per diluted share a year ago. Cash provided by operating activities was $204.2 million compared to $425.7 million a year ago. Capital expenditures were $133.5 million compared to $148.9 million a year ago. Revenue declined compared first half of last year, mainly due to a decline in contributions from the mining and metals business line. For the year of 2015, the company is reducing its guidance range of $4.40 to $5.00 per diluted share to $4.05 to $4.35 per diluted share. This guidance excludes the effects of the previously announced termination and settlement of Fluor’s U.S. defined benefit pension plan which is expected in the latter part of 2015 by taking into consideration these factors and their impact on all business segments.
