Flughafen Wien Aktiengesellschaft, together with its subsidiaries, constructs and operates civil airports and related facilities. It manages Vienna airport. The company operates through Airport, Handling, Retail & Properties, and Other segments. The Airport segment operates and maintains aircraft movement areas, and the terminals, as well as equipment and facilities involved in passenger and baggage handling. This segment also offers various services to support airport operations, to deal with emergencies and disruptions, and to maintain security. The Handling segment supplies various services for the handling of aircraft and passengers on scheduled and charter flights, as well as for the handling of general aviation aircraft and passengers. This segment also operates the general aviation that includes the VIP lounges and the business center; and provides security controls for persons and hand luggage. The Retail & Properties segment provides services that support airport operations, including shopping, gastronomy, and parking services, as well as develops and markets real estate properties. The Other segment offers technical services and repairs, energy supply and waste disposal, telecommunications and information technology, electromechanical and building services, and construction management and consulting, as well as constructs and maintains infrastructure facilities. The company is headquartered in Schwechat, Austria.

Vienna Airport Reports Traffic Results for the Month and First Quarter Ended March 2015; Provides Operating Guidance for the Year 2015

Vienna Airport reported traffic results for the month and first quarter ended March 2015. For the month, the company reported the number of passengers handled by Vienna Airport rose by 1.0% in March 2015 compared to the prior-year month to a total of 1,678,451. Local passenger volume also rose by 5.2% in the same period. Vienna Airport reported a 10.5% decline year-on-year in the number of transfer passengers in March 2015. The number of flight movements was down 0.7%, whereas the maximum take-off weight showed a positive development, increasing by 2.7%. Total air cargo fell in March 2015 by 4.5% from the previous year. For the quarter, the company reported total passenger volume declined in the first quarter of 2015 after the two weak months of January and February. This can be mainly attributed to reductions in the flight offering on the part of Austrian Airlines and the prevailing crises in Russia and the Ukraine with the related drop in transfer traffic. On balance, a total of 4,300,592 passengers were handled by Vienna Airport in the first three months of the year 2015, comprising a year-on-year drop of 2.8%. However, as demonstrated by passenger growth in March 2015, the development of passenger volume should improve again in the course of the year. Local passenger volume also rose by 1.4% to 3,176,166 in the same period. The company reported a 14.7% decline to 1,096,436 year-on-year in the number of transfer passengers in March 2015. The number of flight movements was down 3.0%, whereas the maximum take-off weight showed a positive development, increasing by 0.5%. Total air cargo fell in March 2015 by 1.2% from the previous year. The company continues to expect passenger growth of between 0% and 2% for the entire year 2015.

Flughafen Wien AG Announces Consolidated Preliminary Earnings Results for the Full Year Ended December 31, 2014; Provides Earnings Guidance for the Year 2015

Flughafen Wien AG announced consolidated preliminary earnings results for the full year ended December 31, 2014. For the year, the company reported revenue of EUR 630.2 million against EUR 622 million a year ago. Operating income was EUR 646.3 million against EUR 645.8 million a year ago. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization were EUR 250.2 million against EUR 241.5 million a year ago. Earnings before interest and taxes were EUR 119.8 million against EUR 112.1 million a year ago. Net profit attributable to equity holders of the company was EUR 82.5 million against EUR 73.3 million a year ago. Earnings per basic and diluted share were EUR 3.93 against EUR 3.49 a year ago. Net debt was EUR 506.2 million. Cash flow from operating activities was EUR 220.6 million against EUR 204.4 million a year ago. CAPEX was EUR 75.1 million against EUR 72.9 million a year ago. The company announced that for 2015 expects passenger growth between 0% and 2%. Accordingly, revenue should climb above the EUR 645 million mark, and EBITDA should rise above EUR 250 million. The consolidated net profit for the period is expected to surpass EUR 85 million, and net debt should fall below EUR 500 million. The company expects growth in revenue and earnings in 2015, although negative effects are likely to arise from the capacity reductions of the airlines and the crisis situations in Russia, Ukraine and the Middle East in the first quarter of the current year.

Flughafen Wien proposes dividend for 2014

Flughafen Wien AG at the annual general meeting to be held on May 6, 2015 will consider to approve a dividend of EUR 1.65 per share (2013: EUR 1.30) or a total dividend payout of EUR 34.65 million.
