The company operates in five segments: Oil & Gas, Industrial & Infrastructure, Government, Global Services, and Power. The Oil & Gas segment offers a range of design, engineering, procurement, construction, and project management services to upstream oil and gas production, liquefied natural gas, downstream refining, offshore production, pipeline, chemicals, and petrochemicals industries. It also provides consulting services comprising feasibility studies, process assessment, and project finance structuring and studies. The Industrial & Infrastructure segment offers design, engineering, procurement, operations and maintenance, and project management services to the mining and metals, transportation, life sciences, manufacturing, commercial and institutional, telecommunications, microelectronics, and water sectors. The Government segment provides engineering, construction, logistics, base and facilities operations and maintenance, contingency response, and environmental and nuclear services to the United States government focusing on the Department of Energy, the Department of Defense, and the Department of Homeland Security. The Global Services segment offers industrial fleet, temporary staffing, fabrication, construction, modularization, and site equipment and tool services, as well as supply chain solutions. The Power segment provides engineering, procurement, construction, program management, start-up and commissioning, operations and maintenance, and technical services for the gas fueled, solid fueled, environmental compliance, renewables, nuclear, and power services markets. The company also offers unionized management and construction services in the United States and Canada. Fluor Corporation was founded in 1912 and is headquartered in Irving, Texas.

Goldcorp Selects Fluor Corporation as Strategic Partner for Engineering and Construction Services

Fluor Corporation announced that it signed a strategic relationship agreement with Goldcorp to serve as the company’s partner-of-choice for studies and engineering and construction services. In selecting Fluor, Goldcorp emphasized Fluor’s strong performance in the areas of safety, ethical business practices, stakeholder engagement, communications and innovation.

Fluor Wins Engineering Contract for New Chinese Polysilicon Plant

Fluor Corporation was awarded a contract by Shaanxi Non-Ferrous Tian Hong REC Silicon Materials Co. Ltd., (TianREC) to provide detailed design services and technical support for its new polysilicon plant to be located in Yulin, Shaanxi Province, China. Fluor will book the contract for an undisclosed value in the first quarter of 2015. The new plant, which will have an anticipated total investment of more than $1 billion, will use REC Silicon's next generation fluidized bed reactor technology. It is expected to have a capacity to produce 18,000 metric tons of granular polysilicon, an additional 1,000 metric tons of Siemens polysilicon and 500 metric tons of silane gas loading. The award of the detailed design and technical support contract follows Fluor’s successful completion of the front-end engineering and design package project, and it builds upon the successful completion of several previous projects for REC Silicon. Fluor’s Shanghai office will execute the project with support from Fluor’s offices in Aliso Viejo, Calif. and New Delhi. The Shanghai office has successfully completed other recent polysilicon projects in China. TianREC is a joint venture between Shaanxi Non-Ferrous Tian Hong New Energy Co. Ltd., and REC Silicon Inc.

Fluor Wins Contract to Manage Petro-Complex in Azerbaijan

Fluor reported it won an additional contract to manage contractor services for its new oil-gas processing and petrochemical "megacomplex" in the Azerbaijan Republic, the former Soviet Union republic. As the project management contractor, Fluor will support Azerbaijan's management of contractors who will perform detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up of the project's gas-processing plant as well as front-end engineering design, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up of the petrochemical plants.
