Finansbank A.S. provides banking products and services in Turkey. It offers accumulating, current, time deposit, fixed monthly income, and foreign currency accounts. The company also provides mortgage, auto, consumer, spot, installed commercial, discount/negotiation, investment, commercial premises, foreign currency indexed and foreign currency loans, as well as revolving lines of credit, and overdraft facilities. In addition, it offers auto, home, life, unemployment, workplace, professional liability, education, and personal accident insurance products and services; and individual pension services. Further, the company provides investment products, such as mutual funds, treasury bonds/government bonds, stock shares, and gold exchange-traded funds; payment, safe deposit boxes, checks, cash management, leasing, and factoring services; and letters of guarantees, export/import collections against goods and documents, letters of credit, and bank letter of reference. Additionally, it offers privatization, investment financing advisory, financial valuation, financial advisory, financial restructuring, debt restructuring, and joint venture advisory services; technical advisory services comprising construction project, real estate development advisory, and contract finance advisory services; strategic research services; trade finance; and credit cards, as well as Internet, ATM, and telephone banking services. The company also offers equity trading, portfolio management, corporate finance, margin trading, short selling, share loans, investment consultancy, custodian service, derivative trading, leveraged trading, and international investments services. As of December 31, 2014, it operated through a network of 656 domestic, 1 off-shore banking, and 1 Atatürk Airport Free Trade Zone branches; and 2,955 ATMs. The company was founded in 1987 and is headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey. Finansbank A.S. is a subsidiary of National Bank of Greece S.A.

Finansbank announced revenue results for the year ended December 2014. For the year, the company reported core revenues grew on a yearly basis by 4% reaching TRY 4.4 billion despite pricing limitations introduced by local legislation on retail loans and fees.

Finansbank Reports Earnings Results for the Third Quarter and Nine Months Ended September 2014

Finansbank reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 2014. The company reported net profit in third quarter 2014 totaling TRY 313 million (EUR 109 million), up by 27% quarter on quarter on a constant exchange rate basis. Core revenues were EUR 405 million in third quarter (up 8% quarter on quarter), despite the adverse changes in the regulatory framework for the country’s banking sector and particularly the changes regarding the pricing of retail products. Net interest income increased by 11%, while commissions posted marginal growth of 1% quarter on quarter. Net interest margin in third quarter soared to 570 bps, up by 38 bps. For the nine months, the company reported net profit of EUR 257 million against EUR 412 million a year ago. Core revenues were EUR 1,123 million against EUR 1,323 million a year ago.
