It also provides a range of trust, employee benefit, investment management, insurance, agency, and custodial services to individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations, which include the administration of estates and personal trusts; management of investment accounts for individuals, employee benefit plans, and charitable foundations; and insurance planning. In addition, the company offers Internet and mobile banking services. First Interstate BancSystem, Inc. serves individuals, businesses, municipalities, and other entities in various industries, including energy, tourism, agriculture, healthcare, professional services, education, governmental services, construction, mining, retail, and wholesale trade. As of March 26, 2015, the company operated 79 banking offices in 41 communities located in Montana, Wyoming, and western South Dakota. First Interstate BancSystem, Inc. was incorporated in 1971 and is headquartered in Billings, Montana.

Income before taxes was $31,420,000 compared to $32,904,000 a year ago. Core net income was $21,020,000 compared to $21,349,000 a year ago. Core net income – diluted was $0.46 compared to $0.48 a year ago. Book value per share at the period end was $20.13 compared to $18.60 a year ago.
