Eiffage SA Reports Consolidated Revenue Results for the Second Quarter and First Six Months of 2015

Eiffage SA reported consolidated revenue results for the second quarter and first six months of 2015. For the second quarter, the company reported that consolidated revenue was at €3,561 million against €3,474 million a year ago. For the first half of 2015, consolidated revenue was at €6,605 million against €6,511 million a year ago.

Eiffage and CNES Sign Contract for New Ariane 6 Launch Complex in French Guiana

Eiffage and the Centre national d'etudes spatiales have signed contract for the initial earthworks for the new Ariane 6 rocket launch complex, ELA 4, at the Guiana Space Centre. The work to be carried out at a cost of almost €15 million over a 12-month period beginning on 29 June 2015 concerns the construction of a network of roads and platforms with a combined area of 200,000 square meters. These facilities will enable the operation of special-purpose vehicles designed to transport the various stages of the launcher and related cryogenic rocket fuel tanks. Ariane 6, which is scheduled to make its maiden flight in 2020, is designed to meet the needs of the market for launching medium-weight (up to 5 t) and heavy satellites (up to 10.5 t) into geostationary transfer orbit (GTO). In addition to the Group's own teams, Eiffage will employ the services of around ten local companies for this contract. Among other benefits, this contract will offer around 11,000 hours of work to individuals on work integration schemes, including 2,000 hours of training provided by GEIQ BTP in French Guiana.

Carillion plc to Form Joint Venture with Kier Group plc and Eiffage SA

Carillion plc, has agreed to form a joint venture (JV) partnership with Kier Group plc and Eiffage SA to support the delivery of the UK's high speed 2 (HS2) rail project. Both Carillion and Kier Group are based in the UK, while Eiffage is based in France. The JV will bring together three companies with expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks in Europe, including high speed rail systems and their associated infrastructure.
