The company also provides commercial loans for various purposes comprising inventory, receivables, and equipment; real estate loans secured by residential property or commercial property; consumer loans, such new and used vehicle loans, second mortgages on residential real estate, and unsecured loans; and home equity lines of credit. In addition, it offers a range of trust and asset management services; and lease and equipment financing services. As of April 14, 2015, the company operated 107 banking centers. First Financial Bancorp. was founded in 1863 and is headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio.

First Financial Bancorp. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015. For the quarter, the company reported total interest income of $64,008,000 against $58,988,000 a year ago. Net interest income was $58,586,000 against $54,819,000 a year ago. Income before income taxes was $26,071,000 against $22,185,000 a year ago. Net income was $17,621,000 or $0.29 per share basic and diluted against $15,104,000 or $0.26 per share basic and diluted a year ago. Return on average assets was 0.99% against 0.96% a year ago. Return on average shareholders’ equity was 9.06% against 8.95% a year ago. Return on average tangible common equity was 11.12% against 10.49% a year ago. Interest income earned on loans decreased $2.6 million, or 4.6%, compared to the prior quarter.  This decrease was driven by two fewer days, lower loan fees and lower interest income recapture from loans returning to accrual status compared to the linked quarter. Book value per share was $12.90. Tangible book value per share was $10.54 against $10.24 a year ago. For the first quarter, the company reported net charge-offs of $1,842,000. Charge-offs on commercial loans increased $1.4 million during the quarter driven by the $0.5 million charge-off of a single credit relationship.
