As of May 1, 2014, it had 30 branches in 18 communities. The company was founded in 1922 and is headquartered in Anchorage, Alaska.

First National Announces Management Changes

First National Bank Alaska hired Loan Officer Jason Feeken and appointed him Assistant Vice President. He'll work out of Anchorage's Corporate Headquarters and owns more than 10 years working in Alaska's financial industry. The bank named longtime First National banker and Vice President Karl Heinz the Regional Branch Manager in charge of the Glennallen, Kenai, Kodiak and Valdez branches. Heinz previously managed branches in Glennallen, Haines and Eagle River after completing the bank's Management Associate program more than 12 years ago.

First National Bank Alaska Reports Consolidated Earnings Results for the Fourth Quarter and Full Year Ended December 31, 2014

First National Bank Alaska reported consolidated earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2014. For the quarter, net income was $7.4 million or $23.15 per share. This compares to $7.8 million or $24.29 per share for the same quarter in 2013. Quarter over quarter, net interest and loan fee income after provision for loan losses increased 5.9% and noninterest income increased 4.7%. Year to date net income was $32.6 million or $101.37 per share compared to $32.3 million or $99.80 per share for 2013. For the year, net interest and loan fee income after provision for loan losses increased $2.6 million or 2.6%, noninterest income decreased $2.3 million or 7.7%, and operating expenses plus provision for income taxes increased minimally.
