It provides financing products, including retail installment sale contracts for new and used vehicles; and direct financing leases for new vehicles to retail customers, government entities, daily rental car companies, and fleet customers. This sector also offers wholesale loans to dealers to finance the purchase of vehicle inventory; and loans to dealers to finance working capital and improvement of dealership facilities, purchase dealership real estate, and other dealer vehicle programs. The company was founded in 1903 and is based in Dearborn, Michigan.

Ford Motor Co. to Build the Redesigned Edge with $700 Million Investment in the Plant, West of Toronto

Ford Motor Co. announced that it will add 400 new jobs at its assembly plant in Oakville, Ont. where the new Ford Edge crossover SUV will be built for Canada, the United States and more than 100 other countries. The new jobs are on top of 1,000 positions that Ford announced in October as the plant geared up to build the redesigned Edge with a $700 million investment in the plant, west of Toronto. The company was to mark the official launch of production of the crossover SUVs at a ceremony. Ford said the redesigned Edge will go on sale this spring in Canada and the United States. The company will export the Edge to Western Europe for the first time.

Ford Collaborates with Petty's Garage to Launch Two Special-Edition Mustang GT's

Ford Motor Company has collaborated with Petty's Garage to launch two special-edition Mustang GT limited production models. The Petty's Garage Mustang GT features a Ford Racing/Roush supercharger that brings the 5.0-litre engine's output to 627bhp. The Stage 1 package features a unique front and rear fascia, a centre-exit exhaust, a new spoiler and 20-inch HRE FlowForm wheels and an interior with custom-embroidered head restraints, floor mats and Richard Petty's signature on the dashboard. The Stage 2 trim includes a big-brake upgrade, a two-tone paint job and HRE three-piece aluminium wheels. Ford is producing 100 units of the Stage 1 and 43 units of the Stage 2. The Stage 1 and Stage 2 will be priced from USD 62,210 and USD 92,210 respectively.

Ford Motor Company Appoints John Casesa as Group Vice President, Global Strategy

Ford Motor Company announced the hiring of long-time auto analyst and investment banker John Casesa as group vice president, Global Strategy as part of the company's commitment to accelerate its One Ford plan, deliver product excellence and drive innovation in every part of the business. Reporting to Ford President and CEO Mark Fields, Casesa, 52, will be the most senior leader and corporate officer overseeing global strategy and business development. The appointment is effective March 1, 2015. Casesa will work with the company's business unit and skill team leaders to enhance existing business strategies and to identify and evaluate new opportunities leading to profitable growth. His work will be integrated into Ford's current process for driving results, which includes constantly understanding the changing environment and continuously improving its plans. Before joining Ford, Casesa was senior managing director of Guggenheim Partners, where he led the firm's automotive investment banking activities. In this role since 2010, he advised many of the auto industry companies and investors on strategic transactions.
