The Hydraulics segment offers a range of power products; controls and sensing products; fluid conveyance products; thermoplastic hoses and tubings, couplings, connectors, and assembly equipment; filtration systems solutions; industrial drum and disc brakes; and golf grips. The Aerospace segment provides hydraulic power generation systems, controls and sensing products, fluid conveyance products, and fuel systems for commercial and military use. The Vehicle segment designs, manufactures, markets, and supplies drivetrain and powertrain systems, and critical components that reduce emissions and enhance fuel economy, stability, performance, and safety of cars, light trucks, and commercial vehicles. It serves the industrial, institutional, governmental, utility, commercial, residential, and information technology markets; oil and gas, renewable energy, marine, agriculture, construction, mining, forestry, utility, material handling, truck and bus, machine tools, molding, primary metals, and power generation markets; manufacturers of commercial and military aircraft, and related after-market customers; and original equipment manufacturers and aftermarket customers of SUVs, CUVs, passenger cars, and agricultural equipment, as well as heavy-, medium-, and light-duty trucks. The company was founded in 1916 and is based in Dublin, Ireland.

Eaton Announces Executive Changes

Eaton announced Staci L. Kroon has been named executive vice president, Eaton Business System, effective Sept. 1, 2015. She will report to Craig Arnold, Eaton president and chief operating officer. Kroon succeeds Nanda Kumar, who has been named president of Eaton’s Aerospace Group, effective Sept. 1, 2015. He will report to Uday Yadav, chief operating officer, Industrial Sector. Kroon has been president of the Automotive business in North America since 2013. She joined Eaton in 1996 and had numerous business, manufacturing and plant management positions including the roles of general manager of the Heavy Duty Transmission business in North America, director of Business Development, business unit manager and manufacturing operations manager for Eaton’s automotive business. Kumar joined Eaton in 1990 and held positions of increasing responsibility in the automotive business, including vice president and general manager for the specialty controls and valve actuation businesses and president, Europe, Middle East and Africa, for the Vehicle Group. Prior to joining Eaton, Kumar worked for the Robert Bosch Corporation.

Eaton Announces Executive Changes

Eaton announced that James W. McGill has been named president, Electrical Sector, America’s region. McGill will report to Revathi Advaithi, who becomes Eaton’s chief operating officer, Electrical Sector, effective September 1. McGill has headed the Electrical Products Group since December 2012 and previously was president of the Asia Pacific region for the Electrical Sector. Revathi Advaithi, currently president, Electrical Americas region, was named chief operating officer, Electrical Sector, on June 16, 2015. She succeeds Thomas S. Gross, who is retiring effective Sept. 1, 2015. Advaithi will also have corporate responsibility for Eaton’s EMEA region. Advaithi joined Eaton in 1995 as a manufacturing supervisor at the Shawnee, Oklahoma facility and progressed in several roles of increasing responsibility in the United States and Europe. She left Eaton in 2002, rejoining the company in 2008 as vice president and general manager of the Electrical Components Division.

Eaton to Provide Critical Power Distribution Equipment and Engineering Services for MGM National Harbor

Eaton announced it is providing critical power distribution equipment and engineering services for the MGM National Harbor. Eaton solutions will help power the one million square-foot destination resort on the Potomac River in Prince George's County, Maryland. Eaton received the contract from Phalcon Integrated. Phalcon is responsible for setting up the resort's central plant, including all electrical and mechanical systems from startup, commissioning and initial operation. The plant will support the entire facility and Eaton solutions and services will help support safe, reliable and efficient power for all resort activities. The project will incorporate Eaton's power distribution solutions and engineering services as well as paralleling switchgear designed to support interoperability and connectivity, so that facility managers have the information they need to make intelligent power management decisions and reduce operating costs. Under the contract, Eaton will provide critical electrical system solutions including medium-voltage and low-voltage switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, Foreseer power monitoring software, spot network secondary equipment and dry-type distribution transformers. Eaton will also provide engineering field services and training.
