The company owns and operates various power stations with a generation capacity of approximately 900 MW in Australia, the United States, and Europe. Energy Developments Limited sells its electricity to direct customers, including electricity retailers and mining companies; public companies or government bodies; and landfill site owners. Energy Developments Ltd. Announces Audited Consolidated Earnings Results for the Year Ended June 30, 2015

Energy Developments Ltd. announced audited consolidated earnings results for the year ended June 30, 2015. For the year, the company's sales revenue was AUD 440.3 million compared with AUD 412.7 million a year ago. Profit from continuing operations before income tax was AUD 82.3 million compared with AUD 56.9 million a year ago. Profit attributable to members of the company was AUD 57.1 million or 32.8 cents per diluted share compared with AUD 45.4 million or 27.5 cents per diluted share a year ago. Net operating cash flows were AUD 148.4 million compared with AUD 136.4 million a year ago. Payments for property, plant, equipment was AUD 60.3 million compared with AUD 159.3 million a year ago. Net profit before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization was AUD 218.2 million compared with 182.2 million a year ago. Return on Equity was 15.1% compared with 13.5% a year ago. Total capital expenditure was AUD 61.7 million compared with AUD 172.9 million a year ago. As on June 30, 2015, the company's net tangible asset backing per ordinary security was AUD 1.95.

Energy Development Announces Signing of an Agreement with Anglo American for the Setting Up of Waste Coal Mine Gas Power Station at the Grosvenor Metallurgical Coal Mine

Energy Development announced the signing of an agreement with Anglo American for the setting up of a waste coal mine gas power station at the Grosvenor metallurgical coal mine. Anglo American's $1.9-billion underground long wall mine, Grosvenor will generate about five-million tones a year of export coking coal once operational in 2016. The project would have a mine life of some 30 years. According to Energy Development, the agreement with Anglo American is expected to see the company build a 21 MW power station at Grosvenor, with an initial operating term ending in 2038. It is subject to board approvals, funding and securing the necessary approvals. The proposed power station is expected to be the third to be installed by Energy Development at an Anglo American mine, with a 45 MW power station at the Grasstree mine and a 63 MW power station at the Moranbah North mine.
