East Africa Resources Limited Announces Commencement of Field Exploration at its Datlaa Gold Project Located in the Eastern Rift, Tanzania

East Africa Resources Limited announced the commencement of field exploration at its Datlaa Gold Project located in the Eastern Rift, Tanzania. The wholly owned Datlaa Gold Project was identified in 2013 through a communique from the Ministry of Energy and Minerals. East Africa has commenced further field reconnaissance, trenching/costeaning, mapping and geochemical sampling of the Datlaa Gold project to prepare for phase 1 drilling campaign planned for the next quarter. Datlaa Gold highlights: major artisanal workings located; active workings extending greater than 600m x 200m in the Datlaa Gold Project highlight excellent gold potential; gold mineralization hosted in two structural corridors; defined by large artisanal workings and reconnaissance rock chip sampling program; reconnaissance rock chip sampling of the site includes grades of up to 36 g/t gold; phase 1 trenching/costeaning is planned; to target artisanal sites within the mineralized trends and further test previous highly anomalous rock chip results along strike from known artisanal workings. Initial field reconnaissance work has confirmed the prospectivity of this project with artisanal workings located within the defined geochemical anomalous zones and has defined targets for further trenching and planned drill testing. The Datlaa Gold project is very under explored using modern exploration techniques and current exploration activity aims to identify high-priority gold targets in preparation for an initial drilling program planned for the next quarter to rapidly advance this project.

Mr. Kirtlan has over 20 years of company management experience and has spent 7 years in global mining investment banking in Perth, Sydney and New York working for major global investment banks with a specialist role in the mining and natural resources sector. Mr. Kirtlan is currently a director of Aviva Corporation Limited, RMG Limited, Credo Resources Limited and Homeland Uranium Inc. Mr. Griffiths has over 30 years' experience in the resources sector. Mr. Griffiths is a Non-Executive Director of Tiger Resources Limited, a Non-Executive Director of Chrysalis Resources Limited, a Non-Executive Director of RMG Limited and President of Currie Rose Resources INC. The company also announced that Mr. Lindsay Colless has resigned from the Board effective as at 21 November 2013.
