Dassault Aviation Inks Multi-Billion-Euro Deal with Qatar

Dassault Aviation poised to ink a multi-billion-euro deal with Qatar for 36 of its Rafale fighter jets, the third foreign order in 2015. The agreement, which is to be inked in the next few days, includes a company order for 24 jets with an option on 12 other planes who wished to stay anonymous.

Japan Coast Guard Selects Dassault Aviation's Falcon 2000 Maritime Surveillance Aircraft to Enhance its Operational Fleet

The Japan Coast Guard (JCG) has selected the Falcon 2000 Maritime Surveillance Aircraft (MSA) proposed by Dassault Aviation to enhance its operational fleet. The Falcon 2000 MSA, based on a Falcon 2000 LXS (range 4000 NM), is designed for a broad range of missions including maritime surveillance, piracy control, drug interdiction, fishery patrol, law enforcement, search and rescue, intelligence and reconnaissance. It offers the best combination of size, payload, speed, range and acquisition and operating costs on the market. By acquiring modern and efficient new maritime surveillance mid-size jets, JCG will be equipped with a highly capable and cost effective platform developed with the company’s partners L-3 Platform Integration and THALES. Dassault Aviation will also provide the JCG with comprehensive maintenance support capabilities allowing the JCG to achieve a high level of aircraft availability. These support capabilities will enable the aircraft to efficiently meet the demanding operational requirements of the JCG.

Dassault Aviation Sigs Agreement with Deer Jet to Provide Line Maintenance and Unscheduled Maintenance for the Falcon 7X

Dassault Aviation signed an agreement with Deer Jet authorizing it to provide line maintenance and unscheduled maintenance for the Falcon 7X. Located at Beijing Capital Airport, Deer Jet is one of the business jet operators in the Asia Pacific region. It manages and supports a large fleet of executive aircraft, including the 7X. The Authorized Service Agreement allows Deer Jet to perform light line maintenance (up to 2A and 2A+ inspections) and unscheduled maintenance for Chinese registered Falcon 7X from its Beijing facility. Deer Jet has also applied for EASA and FAA full repair station approvals, which are expected to be granted within a year. Currently, the company has three technicians on staff dedicated to supporting Falcon customers, including provision of 24/7 AOG support. The facility is equipped with a substantial stock of Falcon tooling and spare parts, and can also access to more than $5 million in spares at Dassault's nearby Beijing spares facility. The Falcon 7X is Dassault's fastest-selling Falcon, with over 250 aircraft produced since its certification in 2007. 35 of the very long range trijets are based in China, making it the second 7X fleet after that in the U.S. Last year, the Falcon 7X completed trials at Daocheng Yading, in China'sSichuan province that will allow it to operate out of the world's high commercial airport (altitude: 14,470 feet).
