deutsche telekom ag-reg (DTEN) Key Developments

Cinven Reportedly Bids For Telekom Slovenije

Telekom Slovenije d.d. (LJSE:TLSG) may be sold. Only one firm has filed a binding bid for the purchase of a 73% stake in Telekom Slovenije by April 13, 2015 deadline. The reports are indicating that it was Cinven Limited. Slovenian Sovereign Holding, d.d. (SSH), which is managing the sale, did not disclose the bidder, but several reports confirmed that Deutsche Telekom AG (DB:DTE), which had widely been considered the most serious investor, did not bid.

Privatisation Opponents Only Delaying Inevitable

The opponents of privatisation have brought down the price of Telekom Slovenije d.d. (LJSE:TLSG). The only bidders, Deutsche Telekom AG and Cinven Limited, are ready to give only around €115 per share, while the government is expecting offers of between €180 and €200.

T-Online Reportedly Up For Sale

Deutsche Telekom AG (DB:DTE) has hired BNP Paribas SA (ENXTPA:BNP) to find buyers for its internet portal T-Online International AG, weekly German magazine Der Spiegel reported on April 10, 2015. The German telecoms operator has drawn up a 30-page sale prospectus and sent it to ten interested companies, according to the report. It was reported in December that Deutsche Telekom was in talks with firms such as publisher Axel Springer over the sale of T-Online. A decision should be made by early summer.
