It manufactures, assembles, and distributes motorcycles, relates spare parts and accessories; passenger, commercial, and defense vehicles; buses, ambulances, police vehicles, fire trucks, and garbage compactors, as well as offers contract manufacturing services. The company also provides die cast and stamped metal parts, components, and plastic injected parts and moulds for automotive industry; and aerospace and non-aerospace composite components, aircraft avionics, market mission systems equipment and services, and thermo plastic and setting products. In addition, it provides Islamic banking and fund management, venture capital, laboratory testing, construction, ground and cargo handling, in-flight catering, warehousing, supply chain, engineering consultancy, management, aircraft maintenance, logistics and inventory, freight and forwarding, shipping and transport agency, civil engineering, chartering, and general and life insurance services. BNM Approves MBSB Merger Talks With BMMB

Malaysia Building Society Bhd (KLSE:MBSB) has received the approval from Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) to commence merger negotiations with Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad. "BNM requires that the negotiations must be completed within three months from the date of BNM's letter," the company said. Meanwhile, DRB-HICOM Berhad (KLSE:DRBHCOM) 70% stake holder in BMMB, said BNM has no objection for the proposed merger talks with MBSB.

Malaysia Building Society Receives Approval To Begin Merger Talks

Bank Negara Malaysia has granted Malaysia Building Society Bhd (KLSE:MBSB) (MBSB) approval to hold merger talks with the shareholders of Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad (BMMB), Khazanah Nasional Berhad and DRB-HICOM Berhad (KLSE:DRBHCOM). "Bank Negara has no objections in principle for MBSB to commence negotiations with the existing shareholders of BMMB, namely DRBHICOM and Khazanah Nasional Bhd, for a proposed merger of MBSB and Bank Muamalat," MBSB said in its filing to Bursa Malaysia. Citigroup Global Markets Ltd and AmInvestment Bank Bhd will act as advisers for MBSB in the proposed merger. The merger talks need to be finalized within three months from September 30, 2015.

DRB-HICOM Berhad Incorporates Wholly-Owned Subsidiary

DRB-HICOM Berhad announced that it has on 15 September 2015 incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary, namely DRB-HICOM SPV (Labuan) Limited (DHS) in the Federal Territory of Labuan, Malaysia. DHS is a private limited liability company incorporated under the Labuan Companies Act, 1990, with an issued and paid-up share capital of USD 1.00. The company is the sole subscriber of the 1 share. DHS is intended to be involved principally in investment, funding and treasury related functions for the DRB-HICOM Group.
