Deutsche Bank Appoints Bryan North-Clauss as Managing Director and Head of US Rates Sales

Deutsche Bank announced it has hired Bryan North-Clauss as Managing Director and Head of US Rates Sales. He will be based in New York and report to Chris Yoshida, Global Head of Rates Sales. North-Clauss will join the Bank in September. North-Clauss will join the Bank from Morgan Stanley where he spent over five years, in both New York and London, most recently responsible for building and managing the hedge fund and international real money coverage teams. He was previously responsible for building and leading Morgan Stanley's Government Sponsored Enterprises (GSE) coverage team in New York.

Deutsche Bank Launches Servicing Solution for Hybrid Funds

Deutsche Bank's Global Transaction Banking (GTB) division has launched an integrated solution for the processing of hybrid funds. The new offering combines bank's loan administration and fund administration platforms to provide a seamless service for these increasingly fund structure characterized by a varied portfolio of stocks and bonds. The solution is scalable allowing it to handle large volumes of static as well as transactional data to flow seamlessly between the platforms. Hybrid funds typically share characteristics of private equity funds such as a closed-end structures and fee and waterfall calculations. They have the flexibility to invest in multiple asset classes and financial instruments similar to hedge funds. However, hybrid funds present a challenge for fund administrators, particularly as they invest in illiquid asset classes such as structured credit or private debt. These complex structures require an advanced operating model to manage and administer the funds efficiently. Investment managers therefore expect a highly integrated, scalable solution which supports loan administration investment portfolio accounting for illiquid asset classes, complex fund structure accounting and closed-end partnership accounting. In addition, they are demanding transparency reporting including multi-layer look-through performance reporting from investor to underlying securities. The banks end-to-end service delivers a comprehensive suite of reports at investor, fund and portfolio level with full visibility of the underlying investment and its performance. Fund managers can access their report through the Bank's online platform Autobahn and the respective App.

Bilfinger Hires Deutsche To Sell Its Power Business

Bilfinger SE (DB:GBF) said that it has hired Deutsche Bank AG(BUSE: DEUTSCHEBANK) to manage the sale process of its struggling power business segment. In mid-June, the group decided to put up for sale the unit as part of its strategy to focus on the services business in the industrial and real estate sectors. Back then Per Utnegaard, Chief Executive Officer of Bilfinger said an investor had showed interest in the business. The sale of the power operations, which include activities in the energy and power plant sectors, is expected to be finalized within one year.
