It does not invest in start-up and early stage companies. The firm prefers to make investments across a broad range of sectors, including automotive supplies; machine and plant construction; specialty chemical, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering and support service providers, printing, media, and packaging; industrial services and logistics; and measuring and automation technology. It primarily invests in mid sized companies based in Germany, European neighboring countries, and in German speaking countries. The fund typically invests in medium sized companies in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The firm typically invests between €10 million ($12.9 million) and €50 million ($64.56 million) in companies with revenues between €50 million ($64.56 million) and €500 million ($645.5 million). It can also co-invest with other firms. The firm seeks to take seats on the portfolio companies’ advisory councils or supervisory boards. It typically holds its investment for a period of eight years. Deutsche Beteiligungs AG was founded in 1965 and is based in Frankfurt, Germany.

Deutsche Beteiligungs AG Announces Earnings Results for the First Quarter of 2015; Reiterates Earnings Guidance for the Year 2015

Deutsche Beteiligungs AG announced earnings results for the first quarter of 2015. For the quarter, net profit rose 6.4% to EUR 13.3 million (USD 14 million). Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) stood flat at EUR 12.4 million. The company reiterated it expects net profit in 2014/2015 to exceed the previous year's level by up to 10%.

DBAG Reportedly Plans Clyde Bergemann Sale

Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DB:DBAN) is planning to sell industrials group Clyde Bergemann Power Group International Limited in a $400 million deal. According to Reuters, DBAG has hired Baird to run the sale of the company, which makes components for power plants. The company is likely to be presented to trade buyers Triton Arvos, Shanghai Electric and Marubeni. Buyout firms could also be interested.

Deutsche Beteiligungs AG announced earnings results for the fiscal year 2014. For the year, the company reported that its net profit jumped to EUR 47.8 million from EUR 32.3 million. The performance was boosted by asset sales totaling EUR 50.3 million, including EUR 26.4 million from the sale of local wood processing machines maker Homag in July, the company reported. Net asset value per share grew to EUR 22.18 from EUR 20.36. For the fiscal year 2015, the company expects net profit to exceed the previous year's level by up to 10%.
