Cue Energy Resources Ltd. Receives Approval for Mahato Farm-In in Central Sumatra

Cue Energy Resources Ltd. announced receipt of government approval for the farm-in agreement with Bukit Energy Central Sumatra (Mahato) Pte Ltd. to take a 12.5% participating interest in the Mahato Production Sharing Contract (PSC) onshore central Sumatra, Indonesia. The 5,600 sq km Mahato PSC is located in a highly prospective area in the prolific Central Sumatra basin close to several producing oilfields including onshore oilfields, the Minas oilfield (over 5 billion barrels) and the Duri oilfield (over 3 billion barrels). The block contains multiple appraisal and exploration drilling opportunities with two wells currently planned for second half of 2015. The 2015 work plan includes an appraisal well delineating the possible extension of the Petapahan field into Mahato PSC, a subsequent exploration well nearby and seismic acquisition to further high-grade exploration prospects for future drilling. As part of the farm-in, Cue's share of costs for the two wells and seismic is capped by Bukit. Cue is currently seeking additional exploration and production opportunities in Indonesia.

Cue Energy Resources Limited reported consolidated earnings results for the half year ended December 31, 2014. For the period, the company reported production income of $18,641,000 against $14,776,000 a year ago. Profit before income tax was $14,111,000 against loss before income tax of $60,000 a year ago. Profit after income tax was $13,753,000 against loss before income tax of $1,136,000 a year ago. Profit attributable to the owners of the company was $13,753,000 or 1.97 cents per basic and diluted share against loss attributable to the owners of the company of $1,136,000 or 0.16 cents per basic and diluted share a year ago. Net cash provided by operating activities was $5,826,000 against $2,476,000 a year ago. Payments for exploration expenditure were $13,157,000 against $5,442,000 a year ago. Payments for property, plant and equipment were $7,000 against $137,000 a year ago. Payments for production property were $9,675,000 against $7,946,000 a year ago. EBITDA was $19,179,000 against $4,274,000 a year ago.

Cue Announces PSC Farm-In Agreement with Bukit Energy Central Sumatra

Cue Energy Resources has announced the execution of a new farm-in agreement for the Mahato Production Sharing Contract (PSC) with Bukit Energy Central Sumatra (Mahato). The company will take on a 12.5% participating interest in the PSC as a result of this latest deal, with Bukit retaining a 25% overall holding in the venture. Covering approximately 2,162 square miles, the Mahato PSC area covers several of the region's largest onshore oil fields, including the Minas oil field (estimated to contain over five billion barrels of oil equivalent) and the Duri oil field (over three billion barrels).
