The company operates in four businesses: Management Services, Adjusting Services, Insurance Support Services, and Owned Insurance Companies. The Management Services business provides management services for insurance companies and associations. This business offers outsourced management services comprising the marketing and management of underwriting and claims, as well as the provision of regulatory, accounting, and investment management and administrative services. The Adjusting Services business offers loss adjusting services for the aviation, energy, marine, property and casualty, and special risk sectors; and marine average adjusting and technical support services. The Insurance Support Services business provides a range of professional services comprising claims management, insurance technology, business process outsourcing, and risk transfer solutions. The Owned Insurance Companies business owns and consolidates life insurance businesses, which are primarily in run-off, as well as owns non-life insurance companies that are closed to new business and are running off their liabilities. Charles Taylor plc was incorporated in 1996 and is headquartered in London, the United Kingdom.

Previously, he was UK data centre director and head of programmes and projects at Atos, the multinational IT services business. The company said Sahota's appointment will enable Charles Taylor to focus its insurance technology strategy on meeting the large and growing demand from global insurance markets for technology services delivered by insurance specialists.

Charles Taylor plc Announces Management Changes, Effective August 28, 2015

Charles Taylor announced that Edward Creasy will be appointed Chairman in succession to Rupert Robson, following the release of the company's half year results on 28 August 2015. Edward Creasy was appointed as an independent Non-executive Director of Charles Taylor on 1 January 2014. Edward is a Member of the Council of Lloyd's Market Supervision and Review Committee and was previously a Director of the Lloyd's Franchise Board.
