It operates through Cable Communications, Cable Networks, Broadcast Television, Filmed Entertainment, and Theme Parks segments. The Cable Communications segment offers video, high-speed Internet, and voice services to residential and business customers under the XFINITY brand name. This segment also provides business services, such as cellular backhaul services to mobile network operators; Ethernet network services; and online advertising services. The Cable Networks segment operates national cable networks, which provide entertainment, news and information, and sports content; regional sports and news networks; international channels; and cable television production operations, as well as owns digital media properties. The Broadcast Television segment operates NBC and Telemundo broadcast networks, NBC and Telemundo owned local broadcast television stations, and broadcast television production operations, as well as owns digital media properties. The Filmed Entertainment segment produces, acquires, markets, and distributes live-action and animated filmed entertainment under the Universal Pictures, Focus Features, and Illumination names. This segment also develops, produces, and licenses stage plays, as well as owns digital media properties. The Theme Parks segment operates theme parks; studios; Island of adventures; and a dining, retail, and entertainment complex. Comcast Corporation was founded in 1963 and is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Comcast Corporation announced that it will redeem on June 29 the entire $750 million outstanding of its 5.85% senior notes due November 15, 2015 and the entire $1 billion outstanding of its 5.9% senior notes due March 15, 2016. The redemptions will be funded with part of the proceeds from the company's recent $4.0 billion bond issuance.

Comcast Corporation announced that on June 29, 2015, it will redeem the entire $750 million principal amount outstanding of its 5.85% Senior Notes due November 15, 2015 (CUSIP No. 20030NAJ0) and the entire $1.0 billion principal amount outstanding of its 5.90% Senior Notes due March 15, 2016 (CUSIP No. 20030NAL5). The redemptions will be funded with a portion of the proceeds from Comcast's recent $4.0 billion bond issuance.

Comcast to Introduce 4K Ultra High-Definition Set-Top Box

Comcast announced that it will introduce a 4K ultra high-definition, or UHD, set-top box later 2015 as it brings the Xfinity in UHD catalog to the X1 platform. The new X1 set-top box, the Xi4, will deliver Xfinity TV customers 4K UHD content-four times the resolution of high-definition-directly to the television, enabling X1 customers to enjoy unlimited virtual 4K linear channels by creating personalised playlists from the Xfinity in UHD library. Customers will also enjoy high dynamic range (HDR) programming-increased color, contrast and brightness-with the launch of a new HDR set-top box, the Xi5, next year.
