Canadian Solar Inc., together with its subsidiaries, designs, develops, manufactures, and sells solar wafers, cells, and solar power products worldwide. The company operates in two segments, Module and Energy. Its products include various solar modules that are used in residential, commercial, and industrial solar power generation systems. The company also provides specialty solar products consisting of Andes Solar Home System, an off-grid solar system, designed to provide an economical source of electricity to homes and communities without access to grid; and Maple Solar System, a clean energy solution for families, as well as solar system kits, which are a ready-to-install packages, such as inverters, racking system, and other accessories. In addition, it develops, builds, and sells solar power projects; performs the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) work for the solar projects; and offers operation and maintenance services that include inspection, repair, and replacement of plant equipment, site management, and administrative support services. The company sells its products under the CanadianSolar and CSI brand names. It offers its products to distributors, system integrators, project developers, and installers/EPC companies. Canadian Solar Inc. was founded in 2001 and is based in West Guelph, Canada.

Canadian Solar Inc. Reports Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the First Quarter Ended March 31, 2015; Provides Revenue Guidance for the Second Quarter of 2015

Canadian Solar Inc. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015. For the quarter, the company's net revenue was $860,891,000 against $466,324,000 a year ago. Net income attributable to the company was $61,329,000 or $1.04 per diluted share compared to $3,783,000 or $0.07 per diluted share a year ago. Income from operations was $78,722,000 compared to $26,574,000 a year ago. Income before incomes taxes and equity in earnings of unconsolidated investees was $81,410,000 compared to $10,896,000 a year ago. Net cash generated from operating activities was $124.9 million compared to net cash generated from operating activities of $259.1 million in the fourth quarter of 2014. For the second quarter of 2015, the company expects total module shipments to be in the range of approximately 950 MW to 1,000 MW, including approximately 165 MW of shipments to the company's utility-scale solar projects that will not be recognized in second quarter 2015 revenue. Total revenue is expected to be in the range of $570 million to $620 million, with gross margin expected to be between 13.0% and 15.0%.

Canadian Solar Inc. Signs Loan Agreement with China Minsheng Bank

Canadian Solar Inc. announced that it has signed a USD 250 million loan agreement with China Minsheng Bank. The loan facility has a three-year maturity and will be used to partially finance the acquisition of Recurrent Energy LLC and the construction of the utility-scale solar projects in USA.
