Elastica Announces Reseller Partnership with Cisco

Elastica announced at the RSA Conference a partnership to provide Cisco customers with access to Elastica cloud application security solutions. The deal includes a reseller agreement that offers Cisco customers Gartner-defined Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) solutions. The partnership enhances Cisco's current security portfolio, providing their customers access to CASB to address security and compliance risks associated with cloud application and services adoption. As part of the agreement, Elastica offers Cisco customers the CloudSOC portfolio, a new breed of cloud app security designed to help enterprises eliminate exposures of sensitive and regulated data, identify and thwart malicious activity, and achieve greater visibility into and control of their use of cloud applications. The agreement includes the entire Elastica product portfolio, including the Audit, Detect, Protect and Investigate apps, as well as the Securlet family targeting specific SaaS apps.

Ukrgazbank Adopts Cisco UC System

A unified communications system from Cisco was launched at the Ukrainian bank Ukrgazbank in an upgrade of the corporate bank's communications network. Data, voice and video transmission has switched to a single infrastructure, increasing the efficiency of corporate communication and reducing expenses. An upgraded multi-service convergent IP network replaced the earlier infrastructure at the bank. Around 1,500 users have been connected to IP telephony services during the first stage, and this can increase to up to 10,000. Cisco Unified Communication Manager was used as the IP telephony platform.

Cisco Announces an Agreement with Altice to Deploy Next-Generation Converged Cable Access Platform

Cisco announced an agreement with Altice to deploy a next-generation converged cable access platform (CCAP) across its multi-country footprint, with the first rollouts being done in France. The deployment of this platform from Cisco allows Altice to build the foundation for a long-term evolution of its cable access architecture, by taking advantage of the advanced, massive DOCSIS 3.1 capabilities of the Cisco Evolved CCAP solution. With the DOCSIS 3.1 capabilities of this new technology platform, Altice can scale the bandwidth offered to its growing broadband customer base up to 10 Gbps, across the fiber-deep access network of Numericable-SFR in France, and other operators within the group. The embedded cloud and SDN-based technologies in the platform will provide Altice with fast innovation to better connect people's everyday lives to the Internet of Everything. The platform will also allow Altice to offer, in the future, a new range of faster Internet speeds over its cable network, and bring a new paradigm of entertainment experiences to its customers.
